The Spalding carnival is in a few months time so I will be queuing to get a good spot on the route. :)

We have 4/5 exceptional talents between the age of 16-18 and nothing between that and 21+. The next few years should be interesting. But won't be.

You can all blame Southgate if you want, but it's not his fault. I am sure everyone reading this that's in work has worked with someone completely out of their depth. He is just another of those. It's not his fault he was offered the job, it was the FA. Found themselves a yes man who will do as they please, and went with him. 

2017 and our FA are still backwards thinking

My apologies for missing the 't' it is unforgivable. :disapointed2se: Although in my defense trying to check your title for mistakes before posting when on your mobile phone is actually quite difficult. You have a tiny white box and (in my case) approx 12,000 words to scroll through. 

Happy for a mod to correct it - if that will make your life in the matrix calmer.

When you consider he was captain of the under 21s  when Southgate was in charge it's baffling.  Other bonus of playing him is we'd have a set piece specialist.  No more Kyle Walker free kicks or Henderson corners....

In a perverse kind of way I hope we lose tonight.  If we played an experimental side and won it would start the whole delusional baloney off again.

We had the same thing after the win in 2016 away to Germany.  When it got down to the serious stuff the manager f**Ed it up and some of the 'best' players completely bottled it.

We could do with being utterly atrocious in the lead up to the tournament so that expectations are lowered to somewhere near realistic. Then we might actually have the right attitude in the media, amongst supporters and amongst the players and management.  It would actually add an edge to the players having the feeling that they need to prove people wrong.  That creates a positive and aggressive intent in a team as opposed to the nervous, fear-ridden performances at the Euros where they folded under the weight of expectation. In the likely starting team only Cahill and Hart have ever won anything.  The likes of Kane and Alli are proven performers in the Premiership but have not shown they can handle it when the pressure is on.  I'd make sure Vardy was playing personally.  He's got exactly the attitude we need come Russia. He's also horrible to play against and scares defenders.
