downendcity
Email City fans have received the following email: Our records show that you have left the Dolman Stand at least 15 minutes before the final whistle for most EFL matches this season, Therefore I would be grateful if you could leave later, no earlier than 1 minute after the final whistle. As you know we have a load of old moaners in the stand who complain like nobodies business at fans leaving early but then stopping en route in order to watch the match, blocking the view of fans who have remained seated. Also some fans in the Dolman try to complain about early leavers but can't make themselves heard above the tannoy. Thanks for your cooperation. ZiderEyed
What the ****, hahahaha, what is happening to this world. That is awful, anyone who is okay with your football team knowing exactly what you look like, and when you enter and leave the stadium needs to give their head a wobble. Haha, I wouldn't be surprised if City/BS have similar data available. It can't be too difficult to log the entry times of tickets and season cards passing through the turnstiles. We're well up with the fancy modern techie stuff these days aren't we? After all, Tesco know how many cans of Natch and frozen pizzas you buy every week! italian dave
Heavy snow, freezing temperatures and a 75000 crowd - doesn't seem an unreasonable thing to do to try to encourage people to get there a bit earlier than usual. And the club's playing their part with 50% offers etc. And if you don't think that data about what and how you do things is being collected every second of the day nowadays then you're living in a different world! When's it useful? - times like this I guess!

Excellent but you missed the following paragraphs:~ "As a thank you for staying until the very end and just 5 minutes after the final whistle all beverages will be discounted 50% for a period of 30 minutes. We respectfully request you don't be a smart arse and jump up early and try to queue as the shop will be shut and our heavy bouncer crew will politely escort you from the premises with a token to avail of the same offer after the next home match." That might encourage people to stay or it might be carnage.

ChippenhamRed
Don't see the issue here. It's no biggie that they know what time you enter the ground based on when you swipe your card, and they've given some pretty solid reasons why it would be helpful to arrive earlier - snow, Christmas, roadworks, security. Under those circumstances there is a risk of a large number people not getting into the ground on time, even if they arrive before kick off. That's a shame not only for those who are missing the football, but also those already in the ground who have their view blocked by people arriving late. We all complain when City fail to get everyone into the ground on time and United are taking reasonable steps to stop this happening. They are not making demands, they are politely encouraging people to get there early. Fair enough I say.

This type of thing was happening many years ago at a particular petrol station on a holiday route down south. The proprietor was passing on holidaymaker's information to a gang of burglars up north.
