With the injured piling up is there an option to recall any of , morell , dowling , Moore , golbourne , Moore ,mckosky ? Feel we need two or three of them to fill the squad out a little

I'm not sure if you are able to recall loans early these days.

Also, more players back might have a detrimental impact on the abailabity of parking spaces in the area.

anyway ... are we only able to call up from the u23’s then ? We need at least a striker one cm and poss a defender , Garita , plavotic , bakinson ?

It looks that way. The ridiculous new loan rules help no-one, least of all the young players who would get a chance to step up in the circumstances we find ourselves in if we could recall them.

A totally ill thought out set of regulations dreamt up by people who have no understanding of the way football works below the level of the `big boys`.

Think LJ is stuck with what he’s got until January

For the next 3 - 4 games it may mean Kelly & Bakinson getting on the bench but there is still enough in the squad to get by but can’t afford too many more casualties.

Hopefullt MA & Coaching team are looking to get quality in for the first week of January as the only thing that will de - rail our form will be our injury list

If experience over the last three windows tell us anything it`s that we won`t be letting this sneak up on us and will have players lined up ready to go almost from day one of this one. Not for the Villa game but with the cup game at Watford the following Saturday to that, certainly by the time we play Norwich at home on the 13th.

The only thing we may have to bite the bullet on is that everyone knows we have money and an injury crisis and will price accordingly.

Question - why has LJ allowed these players to go on loan?

Answers - 1) He feels they need experience of men's football.  2) they're not rated by LJ and therefore not in his plans.

So why would he recall any of them if he could if he feels either of the above?

Despite the current injury curse LJ must feel that he enough quality within the squad to cover the crocked positions.

Wonder how Freddie Hinds has been doing? Haven't heard much about him but he looked useful in the cup.

He’s hardly got onto the pitch at Cheltenham. On the bench for most matches (was an unused sub today).

I`m beginning to wonder what we`re achieving by sending him there. A loan down at Plymouth or somewhere would do the lad much more good I think.

If he’s not playing at Cheltenham then not sure Plymouth would play him either in the League above

I'd have him back ahead of Woodrow

This kind of comment needs to stop. Woodrow has scored a few goals in the championship. He has played for England’s U21s. He has rarely had a start to show what he can do and on one of the few occasions he has played a big portion of the match he played well and scored against Derby. To suggest that McCoulskey or Hinds who barely get off the bench for League 2 teams is laughable. Not only is Woodrow better cover at this stage of his career, it allows the other 2 to have a better chance at minutes in a league closer to their current level.

Why did he sign some of them then?

It needs to stop? He isn't good enough. Offers nothing. Fulham fans laughing at us taking him on loan. League two striker at best. Appreciate your opinion but the one signing of the summer who has been a flop.

To develop them. His signings were all youngsters - Taylor Moore for example.

Its a very simple strategy from SL - sign them relatively cheaply, develop them into men's football then if they're not quite upto Championship standard then move them on at a profit.

If they do have the required Championship quality then they become another first team possibility.

But then you also state that maybe LJ doesn't rate them. How much profit will we make given the outgoings over time?

Do you actually know how many fit senior players we have fit now?

Come back & post this nonsense when we have had to play another 5 league games with our current numbers.

By QPR our subs bench will have a minimum of two players on it with no league experience at all.

Agree totally, we are in a great position at the moment and SL needs to learn from 2008 and I am sure that there are players lined up based on the little hints from Holden & McCallister. Loans could be interesting as a stop gap and with an option to buy in the summer and buy some time for those coming back from injury. If there is a top quality player available such as Lod at Panathanaikos as rumoured then we may see one or two permanent deals.

One thing LJ won’t want is any big time Charlie’s to damage the team spirit which is apparent and has got us through the tough games

Flop?  The same “flop” as Diedhiou based on the same minutes played?

Woodrow 398m / 2g / 1a

Diedhiou 1088m / 6g / 1a

Extrapolate out Woodrow!

plus he’s not even had a run to get used to our players. Cut the guy some slack. England u21 international. Decent at Burton last season in a struggling side.

Why are “fans” so quick to write off a player?

Graham, is it unintentional or do you deliberately misinterpret my posts?       :dunno:

Look at your last sentence in your previous post, do you seriously not understand how circumstances can change?

There is no way our current squad has enough quality (as you claim) and I fully expect that LJ knows that.

That is largely because our recent run of injuries has left the number he has chosen to work with until January as far too small.

I just find your incredibly simplistic views on things pretty baffling, to be honest.
