Ashton98
Is it just me that likes the 5:30 Saturdays. Especially in the winter when it’s dark before kick off, atmosphere always seems to be a lot better.
Alex_BCFC
No idea why so much moaning - I prefer games on the TV to be away to save a little bit of money and go to other away games. 20% of games on TV away from home would be great. Also its quite good for freeing up whole weekend to do other stuff if you usually go to most games.

ChippenhamRed
Completely understand the frustration of those planning to attend these games, but for those of us not generally able to make away games, I have to say I look at it as another chance to watch my team on the telly for less than £7 with a Sky Sports day pass. It does have to be remembered that for all the bad things about television and football, which I'm not denying, ultimately it does enable more fans to enjoy watching their team play when they wouldn't otherwise be able to. Puckle_red
Nearly booked train tickets yesterday for this one, glad I didn't. I will still go but travel plans will change, such a shame as I'm sure this will effect our followings for both games.

Granted, it's slightly different in the Championship and below but the (circa) £50k we will receive for TV revenue is £50k more money than we would normally get for an away game. In a perfect world, for me, there wouldn't be a pot of gold for being in the Premiership, there wouldn't be a bombardment of adverts everywhere you look regarding football, and there wouldn't be footballers on 500k a week. I agree with what you are saying but the reality is if we want to have the finances to be able to compete at the top level being in the Prem is the only way to achieve it in the long term. If we didnt have the money sloshing around at the top level (as vulgar as it is) there would be no reason for anyone to invest in our clubs and the quality of football on show at all levels would be poorer for it. CrazyInWeston
As I understand it, I believe SKY has chosen these away games because of our current record in playing away from home. We beat Hull 3-2 and Sheffield 2-1, we also drew with Wolves away 3-3. They've also mentioned they like the way we play football, maybe SKY are hoping for more of the same?
