From what’s been said earlier in this thread, Walsh is signing on the 7th! As in the deal is already done & dusted! No reason not to believe the bearer of this information.

Seems weird for a player to sign on a Sunday of all days.

Don’t think the day of the week makes any difference anymore, football is a 24/7 business now, players train on Christmas Day etc, so a player signing on a Sunday shouldn’t really be a shock.

Quote from the Post report on 14/12/2017 on him possibly signing

“Walsh had joined the Blues on a six-month deal in August but returned to train with his parent club at Finch Farm last month.

He remains registered at St Andrew's until January 6 but has been playing for the Toffees' under-23s.”

contracted to Birmingham city until the 6th Jan.

Still technically a Birmingham loan player until the 6th so would we announce anything prior to that?

Good point, and interesting if we can register him in time for Saturday.  No idea if Brum have a say.

Just read on Wiki that he is loaned till 3rd January so free to talk now if that is correct

BBC report on the day Brum signed him on loan says it was until January 3rd, too.

Far more likely to be correct than The Post..

could be any number of reasons why he hasnt played.they havent exactly been in form enough to try out a youngster

And with all due respect to SC, he tends to prefer ‘established’ players.

Think it was ‘Arry that signed him.
