Rc85
As the game today is on sky, does the sports Bar screen it? Odd question I know but my brother is in bristol, wants to watch but can't scrape enough together for a ticket.

I'm with you. The ground is sold out and the pub front door is from outside the ground. Should be no different to any other pub in the UK

tezOfCity
Wouldn't risk it. For the man u game they kicked everyone out of the sports bar who didn't have a match ticket. Then, because people who had been kicked out were watching through the windows outside, they turned the big screen off.

pillred
It's probably to do with people sneaking into the stands at half time, because they never check you entry after half time.

Well I tried to pass that door well after a game and was told I had to go out of the stadium and then in again to that plastic shit hole serving cat piss Heineken. Never ever I would do that. It's a sell out. What's the big deal?

They can then use the time the game is being play to clean and reset the bar for the post match crowd.

I'm trying to say if someone is not a season card holder were to watch the first half of the game on the big screen, at half time they could just walk into the south stand at half time and watch for free it would cause a lot of problems. This was their justification which was understandable. But to turn the screen off to prevent those outside from watching (who were still purchasing drinks from the outside vendors) was a poor show. Even the security staff were uncomfortable with it, although one in particular (June I think her name was) was actually very helpful.
