Mark Hughes -should- be getting the chop but they seem to be sticking with him. He should have been sacked about 3 weeks ago.

That's what fans of every other club thought about LJ this time last year.

Agreed they did, but it’s slightly different at Stoke in my personal opinion. I work with people who are Stoke City supporters, and the football is woeful to say the least according to them. He rested most of the team against Chelsea and they ended up getting battered 5-0. Then, his excuse for fielding a second side was because he expected a loss against Chelsea so thought it was best to field a weak side then save them for Newcastle. They lost to Newcastle and then ended up walking out of the press conference in a huff. With him in charge, the rot is most likely to continue, not get better with time such as it did with LJ.

It’s because they will only fire him if there’s a suitable replacement available. They don’t want to go 5 weeks without a manager like Everton did.

Hasn't Stam set the whole club up the Dutch way though all the way down to the kids? It would be a hell of a job to start again to be fair.

Not a great model currently!  Dutch football is in 'crisis' at the moment with failing to qualify for another major international tournament and their domestic automatic qualification for champs league removed.
