Dave
In his press conference, at around minute 16, LJ says we may have a debut or two. Who are they going to be?

LondonBristolian
Whilst I do not think we can or should go ultra-defensive, I do think a 3-man midfield may be sensible, which may mean Walsh starts.

Although I agree to an extent, Man City will, even without some of their bigger stars, pick us apart if we sit too much. For me it is important to have at least three players ready to break at any point and they must have pace. If two of those players are part of a midfield five then go for it, but we can't be too defensive. Take it to them like we did Man U

I saw it as a midfield five with at least three players (Walsh, Brownhill and Paterson) prepared to push on and support the striker.
Hampshire reds
Sounds like fielding will be back in goal. As well as Bobby has done we are very light weight up front. I thought we might have signed someone just to take the pressure of Bobby and support him . Not just for this game but Norwich and derby coming up. There is still time
JamesBCFC
Not sure about the team, hopefully Walsh will play. But, the Manchester Blue fans are already on page 19 of the pre match thread for tomorrow. They are obviously creaming themselves over getting the chance to see Joe Bryan and Bobby Reid in the flesh. wendyredredrobin
We need to outnumber them in midfield. So 4 at the back, 6 in midfield with Bobby as a false no.9. Fielding or Steele in goal makes little difference to me. I suppose we need to play this game in a similar way to how we played the other Manchester lot. Steele Wright Flint Baker Maggers Patto Brownhill Smith Pack Bryan Reid Could bring Walsh into midfield and drop Joe back to RB in place of Maggers I suppose. What is Walsh's best position? Bryan to LB definitely for me - need our strongest back 4. Patterson on left, Brownhill on right with Smith and Pack sitting - let Walsh play as a false

Mr Popodopolous
Paterson behind Reid? That is to say behind him in support in the attacking phase, back centrally to help shore up when we're under cosh. Like the idea of Reid as a false 9 also, giving us up to 6 in midfield at various times too.

TV Tom
The trouble is is that Bryan is our best left back and our best Left midfielder, personally I would like to see him further forward, tomorrow is our best chance of beating them, they will play a weaker team

DownendRed97
Whoever we play at full back is likely to have a torried time, would rather it would be Bailey at RB (even though he's gonna get skinned if Sane plays, at least he'll kick him a few times which might hamper his play style) and Joe at LB (if Sterling plays he may have a chance of keeping up with his pace). My worry if Mags plays is that 1. He's too slow to keep up and 2. He's less of a physical presence to 'let them know they're in a game'

Would prefer it to be 451 or 4411. The important thing is that we work in shifts, rotating the press, even if that’s Reid at some point to allow someone else a bit of a breather.
