This is the sad story of a young Rovers supporter aged nine who sadly passed away on Christmas Eve, I would like to offer my sincere condolences to his family on such a tragic loss.

This puts life into perspective, and there is far more important things in the world than football

I hope Rovers start thinking outside the box and start winning more; this tragic loss is a good way to start. I have never hated the Rovers. I don't understand that word really. RIP little one.

I think this is worth a thread on its own for anyone who has not read my original post about this lad.

As stated in the title there will be a minutes applause at today’s game in his memory.

P.s there seem to have been a lot of tragic young losses on  both sides of the bristol divide this season. Would a summer charity match friendly be out of the question?

Wasn't criticising you mate. For 9 minutes they were busy trying to raise the atmosphere and the minutes' applause probably arrived sooner than they expected.

Once people knew it was happening, EVERYONE joined in.

I had absolutely no idea about this so maybe other people didn’t know either, hence the singing. Of course as soon as I realised I respectfully rose to my feet and joined in. Usually when a tribute is planned I read about it on here or other social media, I guess he didn’t get the coverage? I did feel bad at the time that I wasn’t aware.

I think that was genuinely the case......and the image on the screen wasn't as informative as previous ones.
