Match Day parking scheme (Merged)

perhaps people will now see that those of us that would have preferred a move to ashton vale were right, it's all very well staying at our spiritual home, but if we get promoted attendances will be over 25,000 most games, it will cost the club more money than the extra people attending, this was a bad idea whoever agreed to this parking clause has made a bad error of judgment that will ultimately cost the club millions.

It won't cost the club millions. It will cost the fans millions.

You can guarantee a street parking scheme will come in where we have to pay to park on match days. Residents will be given exemption.

It's already residents parking around bower ashton, if the council charge Bristol city how can that be costing the fans anything, I know in the end to pay to park on something that is now free is a cost but the council will still get money from the club so it's a win win for them.

Hopefully our club has the sense - and principle - to tell the council to **** off until they sort out the park and ride. It is entirely nonsensical to enforce a residents parking zone as the only deterrent to parking when you can move 1500 cars to a proper, organised and revenue generating parking area.

Had no idea if he did it deliberately to stop fans from parking there but it only takes hundreds of residents to do this to cause parking problems elsewhere.

So what the council should be looking at is a residents non-parking permit.

Every home game they have to move all their cars beyond a 5 mile exclusion zone.

Should certainly help match day parking in the short-term.

In the longer term the council needs to take a serious look at selective residential demolition.
