I fail to see how he fits into our high tempo game truth be told. Good player wise head good organiser but I just fail to see how he gets into the team unless there is a horrific Injury crisis in midfield.

Agree but there is a scenario where if we were a goal up away from home and under the cosh he could still prove useful in helping us manage the game out.

LJ has spoken about both of them in the last week or so. Djuric is recovering in Italy with a specialist, making sure his muscle strength is right before returning to training; O'Neil is back running on the grass now.

Yes but so is the fox in my back garden, but he won't be appearing for City either.

Djuric has always been injury prone I believe so perhaps one to write off sooner or later.  A real shame as I think he could be a real asset. Barely played since joining but still contributed to some key moments in his time here

So then, a big old unit whose body is used to playing in the more sedate Italian league and is now finding the English 2nd tier more physical should be written off, despite having a positive impact on the team when nowhere near 100% fit?

Thank God you aren't my boss at work.

Personally, we should just concentrate on getting him totally injury free before throwing him back into the side. Especially now we have Diony.

I'm not sure how much more of playing Flint up top I can take.

I dont think that is correct.  He picked up an injury.  That required surgery. Long rehab. Once completed, it was always the case he needed a smaller surgery to balance his body.  He was brought back once deemed fit because we had an injury crisis up front.  It was never the plan to play him at all between surgery's but needs must.

The second surgery has now been done and he is in Italy recovering.  He as 24 hour round the clock treatment - LJ's words.

The way LJ talks about him he will be here for a long time.  He is defiantly worth the investment for surgeries and rehab.  French striker brought in on loan till the end of the season to cover.

I wouldn't expect to see Durjic until late April or May if at all this season.

But I dont think he is going anywhere reading between the lines.

Diony is a completely different type of striker to Djuric.

They could compliment each other's styles brilliantly.

If he has indeed had Gilmore’s Groin, then the repair should sort it once and for all.

Known as the sportsman’s Hernia.....quite proud to say i had one of those!

I didn't know Gilmore donated his groin to science.

I did say perhaps!  Lots of precious people on here who dont like a suggested alternative view.

If he gets fit and can play many games in a row then great. If he never does it will be a poor signing.  He has been here a year and barely played 3 games in a row.

We will see I guess.

Write him off?

He's been extremely effective when he has played. Even if he was limited to sub appearances or a Ledley King style one game a week regime, he's a unique option that coule be of great benefit to us.

cant remember many players who wins has many headers

Wouldn't be surprised to see Nmecha sign on loan. Give us 4 strikers competing and the others loaned except Djuric.

There's no way. We have Diedhiou, Reid, Diony, Taylor, Engvall, Hinds and Milan for those front two positions. Even Paterson can go #10 too so there's no way.

Gilmore's Groin can be devastating, ....   it proved to be the beginning of the end of Pink Floyd, allegedly.

Milan has been broken for every game has played for us yet still been able to impress on a lot of occasions. Imagine what a player we get if we can fix him. Worth being patient with. If it takes till March but we get him for the whole run in it will be like another new signing. I'm also looking forward to signing O'Dowda next month ;)

In Reid, Djuric, Diony, Garita and Garita (all fit and firing) I can’t remember such a well rounded and exciting forward line.

I know we only got a glimpse of Diony, but that pace and power we saw is what I feel we’ve lacked for a while.

Forget Garita, never going to make it at this level. League 1 at best
