Pretty sure LJ said Pisano expected back mid Feb, O'Dowda a couple of weeks later.

A little optimistic I think given what LJ said.

Cheers nogbad, squad will be really strong with those back.

There's a pretty detailed injury update on the OS. Extracts are:

Pisano

"City's head coach added: "Eros has had a setback. He's not feeling as comfortable as he was, as he thought he might be with his running so we've taken him back a stage.

"He's easing back into the stage of running on the grass.

"It's different running on grass compared to a treadmill, where you can jump it and it runs under you; with grass you claw it under you and push it away so that's the next test. That will happen over the next couple of days and then we will ease him in.

"The estimate is we're probably two-to-three weeks away from seeing him in an Under-23 game.""

O'Dowda

"As for the longer-term pair of Hegeler, O'Dowda and Djuric [sic], Johnson added: "They're further away. Both a progressing well and healing well but they have longer-term injuries so we don't expect to see them in February."

Listening to that can't see any of these playing again this season, not so Hegeler but the other 2 area major miss

I wouldn't be so pessimistic, although it appears LJ himself may have had some updates given to him since he spoke after Saturday's game.

PIsano has evidently had a setback but should still be back playing for u.23's by mid Feb., therefore probably available for first team selection early - mid March along with O'Dowda.

Very hard to guage what the situation with Djuric is - is he one of the 'pair' referred to in the last paragraph which in fact becomes a threesome? - but sounds like they feel he is strong enough to start pushing him a bit now. Month or so?

My take on what LJ said: Frankie available next week. O'Neill a couple of weeks, or so, Djuric and Taylor 4-5 weeks, Pisano, O'Dowda, 5-6 weeks - setbacks notwithstanding. Hegeler unknown.

Overall mixed news, but with 14 weeks left in the regular season no reason to think any of the presently injured players won't play a part if needed.
