Exactly , the club will know how many tickets were due, plus the prices.

Easy response to say , we’ve got x number of tickets go on sale on this date!

If it does prove to be the case that we’re getting a small allocation, I think the first question should be why there wasn’t a reciprocal agreement put in place at the start of the season to ensure both sets of fans were treated the same.

This game has been known about since we secured our survival back in April, so there is no excuse for the delay.

City receive limited Cardiff allocation

Friday, February 2nd 2018

City have been allocated just 1,481 tickets for the Severnside derby fixture at Cardiff City.

The Sky Bet Championship fixture will be played at the Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday, February 25th (12noon kick-off).

A club spokesman said: “The decision to reduce the ticket allocation was as a result of request from South Wales Police to hold an extraordinary SAG Meeting.

“In that meeting they produced evidence of recent disorder and asked for our allocation to be cut by 50 per cent.

“The result of this was 1,481 tickets being allocated, albeit without any restrictions placed on the travel of our fans.

“The club is extremely disappointed with the actions to date and believe it unfairly disadvantages our supporters and also our club for a key fixture.

“We will continue to challenge this legally, working with the EFL, Football Safety Officers Association and Sports Grounds Safety Authority, in a bid to receive more tickets for our supporters.”

Subsequently, with the game not being shown on Sky Sports, the club has requested a beamback. This will take place in the Sports Bar & Pizzeria at Ashton Gate, with full details to follow.

We deserve answers to these questions.

As I’ve said previously on this thread, I hate tit for tat but I’d make an exception in this case. Screw them if we get them in the playoffs. It’s a ridiculous overreaction and completely unnecessary.

Other police forces manage United v Liverpool, Celtic v Rangers, Newcastle v Sunderland etc with far bigger crowds in attendance.

This is inexcusable nonsense. Disgraceful.

Absolutely should be tit for tat every time they come here now. Which hopefully will be never again, with us getting promoted and them getting relegated every year until they're playing Llanelli Town 3rds in the league.

Hahahahahah. Actually just full on 'd at this.

Shocker. At least it's a beam-back.

But then again if a further 3,000 turn up without tickets what's stopping them? And then the Heddlu have a big problem on their hands.

Thing with tiny allocations is that if it's pay on the day there, all you've got to do is affect a welsh accent and suddenly you're in, as are hundreds potentially. Heddlu have made things worse imv.

Complete and utter pi$$ take but not unexpected.  They know how big a game this is and so have done everything in their powers to have one over on us. I'm sure Colin would've had his mitts in this decision as well.  Hope the players take this as extra motivation now to get one over on them and I'm sure that those of us who are lucky enough to get a ticket will do our part singing the boys to (hopefully) a victory.
