Should be a lifetime deal, will it ever not be on the BBC?

Exactly.. quite shocked there is even a 'deal' in place for it.. The BBC is absolutely dire for sport and pretty much everything else nowadays anyway, the TV license we are forced to pay in this country is a disgrace IMO.

Thanks for all the pedantic replies.  Surely it was obvious what was meant...

Apologies if my reply came across that way but I just didn't think of paying for the rights. Just me having yet another grey moment.

You don't have to pay it.

Not really a reasonable argument.

To force people to have one if they want to use a television, while bidding tens of millions on a 20 club league for one sport should be challenged.

For two hours a week it's hugely expensive.

Just out of interest, do the premier league give the BBC a bit of deal as it's a national institution if you like? I can see sky or BT being able to offer a lot more financially. It's just that I can't see it being long before someone trumps the BBC offer massively which makes the premier league think again and that will be a sad day.

Why should the Licence-Payer have to shell out extortionate amounts for a specialist programme after the water-shed on a weekend ?

Its all about celebrity , and the celebrities in this instance are being paid more than most of us will make in a life time. Fair enough if it’s on a commercial station. The risk is with their own money.

It’s £12/month. Please show me the Sky package for £12 that gets you Premier League highlights, FA Cup, Six Nations, Wimbledon, Davis Cup, World Cup, Euros, Masters golf, Summer Olympics, Winter Olympics, Line of Duty, The Night Manager, Planet Earth, Blue Planet, News, Weather, websites, iPlayer, Apps - and all without adverts.

I think it’s brilliant value for money.
