roddy-d
What did LJ say at half time. I know let's see where villa will end up & we will end up. Rubbish second half Quote Link to comment
BanburyRed
Sorry but that's just pathetic. Beaten by Bolton and now shipping 3 to a dreadful Sunderland side with the game in the bag at half time. 1pt from 6 against the bottom sides, simply not good enough. In the context of Derby, Fulham & Preston all drawing (and Cardiff last night), this will feel like a defeat. I suggest no day off, in for training tomorrow and work these buggers til they drop (not sure what they did in Dubai...it obviously wasn't the session called game management or seeing a game out), those old habits of being in control and then ceding all control have returned. But they've been very lucky today, give them credit for not giving up, but they have been lucky. We had plenty of chances to go 4 up and 4-1 up and 4-2 up. They rarely looked like scoring bar a worldly from FF. They've needed two own goals to get the result. We looked uncharacteristically poor from set pieces/crosses but overall were the better team. It hasn't come off but on another day that same performance results in a rout. It's easy to overreact in the immediate aftermath of losing a three goal lead because it feels like a terrible defeat. Whatever makes you sleep tonight but I assure you we missed those chances and it was not luck that made us draw, it was the players. You could see at 3-1 the heads went down for a lot of players and we lost all motivation at 3-2, at that point we'd practically accepted what was going to happen. That is NOT what strong-minded players do, that is the key difference between a team that will go up and a team that will not. 2 Quote Link to comment
Top Robin
This is the most disappointing result this season and the one I am most angry about. Lee needs to let us know what went wrong and how he is going to prevent it happen again. Quote Link to comment

Something about Pats getting pulled back. First I've heard about it. He's right, but Patto didn't go down, he was trying to keep the chance alive so he stayed on his feet, then we don;t get a pen because unless you go down refs just won't give anything. That’s just one win or, more likely, three scratchy draws. Even the most pesemistic City fan would admit we can’t **** it up from here. Happy days. Bris Red
Its a top 10 finish now for me im afraid, play offs are done i think.. to many hammer blow results that will knock the groups confidence too much. Just not good enough im afraid 1 Quote Link to comment

People laugh and joke about Gary O’Neill, but we don’t draw a game where we’re 3-0 up with him on the pitch. Would’ve known exactly what to say to every player to see the game Out. 2 Quote Link to comment

Their goal came out of nothing and we were immediately back in control of the game. Heads did not drop at that point and trying to compare this to performances last season is ridiculous. When they got the second then you could see some worried looks because they were in the game without doing anything. Then the momentum shifted as you would expect having given themselves a chance but even then we created more chances to put it to bed. Quote Link to comment

At 3-0 up we were already out of sight, the real issue came from the lads bottling it under pressure and that's the difference between a promotion team and a team who won't go up, we're clearly the latter. Kent was incredibly wasteful in the 2nd half, his crossing and his passing was poor and should have scored 2 goals. Quote Link to comment

YorkshireSection
Shit day, but if we make the play offs by 1 point then today will be forgotten. Bad management, on top of some poor performances, on another day its 5/6 v 1, but the playoffs are still very reachable, de2spite of today. Flagon
Last season when we were in serious danger of relegation we had this ridiculous way of playing against teams with wingers where we would just literally leave them. The amount of goals we conceded where either the left or right back would drift inside leaving their winger free was unbelievable. We actually haven’t done that a lot this season which has cut out a lot of those goals but we have let this creep back in the last few games for some reason. Why do we do this? Quote Link to comment
Alex_BCFC
Wow that is a depressing end to a game - we've thrown away a 3 goal lead twice under LJ. Can't remember us doing that prior to the Derby game. Frightening run of games now. Quote Link to comment
AberRed
I think that game showed we lack the mental strength to win the playoffs even if we do make them. 1 Quote Link to comment
