Bottom of the league, Rodriguez is on a possible racism charge, sack members of the board and now this. Back in the 70's these things used to happen and not make the local news let alone make national headlines. There was a story doing the rounds in Bedminster that a certain ex goalkeeper of ours, tasked with getting some snacks for a players party, returned driving a mobile shop. The first I heard of it was when fans behind the goal started shouting out food orders during the quieter moments of the game.

Puncture on the coach on the way up . Pissed down with rain . 3-0 down after 20 minutes (lost 4-1 ) I think. Old bill escorted us all the way back to junction 5 . The long way round. But besides that I can’t wait to go back.

I was there that day too. We didn't actually play that badly, they just scored every time they attacked. The game was a lot more even than the scoreline suggested. But they had premier league quality and experience in a league where only Newcastle were superior that season.

cidered abroad
Best away game was 1976 winning 1-0 en route to the First Division. Worst was when a divot diverted the ball over Elvis's foot in the last minute for a jammy 1-0 to the Baggies.

It was a midweek game just after the totally unexpected 1-1 draw away to Sunderland. Who was their winger, whose crosses just seemed to always float up until dropping at the far post? Willie something?
Loco Rojo
Alan Pardew said he 'felt a bit let down'!!! I'd be ******* fuming and kicking ass. Given the position that club are in and the other issues they have at the moment, those players should be pulling together and demonstrating the fight to get out of the hole they're in. That is a slap in the face to their fans. There should be some serious fines and possibly player sacking after that. Those 4 should be ashamed and made an example of. BarnzFM
Well to be fair the Spanish Twitter page that broke the news said that Pardew himself arrived back at the hotel very drunk and had lost his wallet - hotel had to pay his taxi. The Batman
Doesn't surprise me that Barry is involved. Absolute gimpasaurus rex. When he broke into the villa side back in the day, he used to go up and down Broad Street on nights out setting fire to his cash. Goes to show the leopard doesn't change its spots. He bought me and my mates drinks quite a few times when I was at uni up there, you literally had to say you were a Villa fan. I said it but I was thinking about buildings in Portugal. They're all clubs I hate but West Brom is probably least worst or the lot and that is saying something. Remember that Aaron Brown game when some brummie clown chucked a large cup of coke over us and it all kicked off and the players weren't allowed back out. And then the ref decided to keep playing until the coke-snorting murderer equalised.
havanatopia
Used to quite like the Baggies, highest ground and all that. Chinese owned now so hope, like all Brum clubs save for Walsall, that they go down and they keep going down, deep down and fade into oblivion... Well almost. I will allow the fans Conference North delights.
