Just to mention that tonight’s hard earned point means we match last seasons total, with 13 games to spare.

Recent form may be making it feel a little flat, but in the great scheme of things, moving the right way.

Also as an aside, our record against the other top six is pretty good, with one to go, it reads W4, D3, L2, for 15 points from nine games. That is well up with our overall average. The only difference between us and the teams ahead of us is their ability to more consistently knock over the teams in the bottom half.

True but I get why people are nervy. The bad stretch has come at a bad time. It has also lasted a bit too long. Mostly unlucky I think. The Baker suspension think really hurt us. We were back to our best but lost our most influential defender and it took its toll.

For me missing Baker was made far worse by LJ not simply replacing him with Mags for the Bolton game, we missed Korey massively in CM, poor judgement from LJ for me.

Eh? How do you work that one out? At the point Baker was sent off, we'd gone seven games without a win. Ironically, it was after his dismissal that we scored two and finally got three points.

Think it is actually W3 D4 L2 and 13 pts from 9 games. Not quite up with our average but not too bad.

We need almost a point per game more than Cardiff to catch them. If we don't win on Sunday I think second becomes impossible.

We need to start playing like we did last night against lower down teams as that should lead to a few wins.

The harsh reality is that we will likely be in eighth position before we play Cardiff on Sunday, with even what would be a decent draw there(should we get it) not getting us back in the top six.

Were becoming draw specialists and they don't win prizes.

The game he was sent off we dominated even with 10 men. Bolton was bad but then two good halves against Sunderland and Leeds. Then there is last night which I thought was quite good too. The performances haven’t been as lethargic as they were in January. No Baker suspension and we probably come out of February with 10+ points.

Had to go and check, and you are quite right! For some reason, in my mind we beat Villa at AG.

Hard to think we can get second if lose this weekend as you say. Enjoyed the game yesterday, but do need a win or two now!
