len,

I've never shied away from hard work, but goodness me, if I were getting paid for this I would be earning my money.

I think when it comes to seeking advantage, the guilty people are those within BCFC who have not explained the facts and have seemingly chosen to use the situation to manipulate their fans and players in building up a resentment in advance of the game.

I think what this thread has done is to amply demonstrate that yes, 'the truth can hurt.'

p.s. if you don't mind me saying, you have a rather unpleasant avatar

Just answer me this then to earn your fantasy corn. Why did CCFC wait until 3 weeks before the game to announce the restrictions? Why did they not announce it months ago so it could be challenged?? Why not announce it when discussing reciprocal arrangements? The alleged reasons for giving us a reduced allocation happened last season -over a year ago so no excuse for delaying it and announcing it so late. You know that, we know that

You can't answer me because you know that it's a stitch up by your beloved Blueredbluebirds.

Ps thanks for the avatar advice. Imagine I put it up especially for you and your fellow swimmers.

len, old chap,

I do feel for your parents.

But, moving on.

  1. I have no formal knowledge of the SAG process although it must be safe to assume they are game specific and held within a relatively short time pre-match.
  2. Even BCFC concede (see website reports on the issue) that the ticket issue is at the call of SWP and no-one else.

Yes that pub got trashed but whole day was terribly policed. Forcing fans to go into the pub of the police's choosing which was not big enough for the amount of people in there, not selling drinks and refusing to let people leave voluntarily is a recipe for the scenes we saw that day. So much for unrestricted travel.

The escort through the ghetto which is Grangetown was vile, having coins thrown at us out of windows, police frothing at the mouth shoving and hitting anyone they pleased. Children crying, people scared. I'm surprised people ever want to go back through that again ******* sh*t tip.

The escort after was shockingly policed. Having just lost and being in a shite pit all us fans wanted to do was get home. Our kick off was at 12:30 irc and by the time we got to the train station after the game the 15:00 games had finished.....

No wonder tempers boiled!! Add to that the Cardiff yobs taunting us and throwing coins etc. Didn’t help the matter. Then at the front when the police suddenly stopped the escort the people at the front were greeted by a baton. Heddlu are hooligans in a uniform.

For people who don’t know baaadiff very well I’d say the walk from Ground to Station is 45mins-1hour at most.

I have never forgiven Cardiff for the way they treated my father...For Forty years he ran a missionary in Splott, he handed out food parcels nearly every day and the only reward he got was the little smile on their faces. I can remember him loading up the cart with blankets and soup for his daily chore saying it's not their fault they live in a shit hole. when he passed away they had a BBQ in his honour ...they ate him

I refer the Honourable Gentleman to the answer I gave earlier.

(behaviour of fans over the past two seasons).

You aren't special, we misbehave when we are treated badly by shitty police forces, yours is just especially bad, however the WMP,  South Yorkshire & Northumberland all get mentions!

If I was the high up at the club I would’ve found 1,500 fans with previous fan related troubles and gave them free tickets and free travel. Just as a **** you SWP and Baadiff have a fun afternoon

I remember that mob of 400 odd we took a few years ago there and then there was the fun in the Weatherspoons after the Carlisle game at the Rugby stadium, the SWP were over zealous and got what they wanted when the soulless crew disappeared out of sight. Guilty or innocent, there only pledge was to crack skulls, & they didn't like it when they got a bit back, there were some comedy scenes in that pub that day, a certain someone playing the jester smashing the tills open and rinsing the juke box, god footballis boring these days1

Hi Fred Gimp.

You don’t half talk shite.

Here’s exactly what happened :

The meeting took place on 4th January in Cardiff. Attended by South Wales Police, Bristol Police, Cardiff SAG & BCFC Head of Security.

Initially, 2,600 tickets were offered. However, BOTH police forces wanted a ticket exchange at the services.

BCFC Head of Security said that the Club & fans of BCFC would not be happy with that.

Cardiff SAG immediately said “fine, no ticket exchange, then you’ll only get 1,400”.

BCFC Head of Security was not happy but the meeting was closed - decision made.

So, BCFC were wholesomely NOT in agreement with this, and it was 100% a Cardiff SAG decision without negotiation being allowed.

Our match with Leeds was swapped on January 11th. The ticket allocation was announced on February 2nd.

The SAG reasons for their decision were based on “there have only been 2 incidents of disorder since the new stadium was opened, and both times this was with Bristol City”. You’d have to be born yesterday to believe that.

This was clearly known in advance of the season. Why would the SAG call an extraordinary meeting on Jan 4th when they’d known they were going to do this since October 2016.

Basically, your SAG (which has club reps involved) decided rather late in the day that they wanted this restriction. BCFC were not allowed to present any case against this. Therefore, it’s a stitch up. Plain and simple.

Thoughts with @Fred Smith at this tough time.

Always hard when you post a thread entitled "the facts", and someone else posts some other facts. Who knew that facts could be so complicated.

Still, thank god that Cardiff City FC obtained their 3200 unrestricted tickets at Ashton Gate before the club decided to become such utter cowards.

Good morning Harry,

thanks for confirming:

  1. More tickets were available subject to a ticket exchange-(interesting required by BOTH Police Forces - not just SWP)
  2. BCFC turned down the option
  3. The reason for the restriction is the past behaviour of BCFC supporters which incidentally involved knocking a steward unconscious within the CCS.

In the context of these things 4th January is not late in the day as the meetings are held in the weeks prior to each and every game.

It's really a Police decision - exaccerbated by a BCFC decision on the ticket exchange - which is exactly what I have have indicated.

But if you want to hold to a conspiracy theory which flies in the face of the evidence I can't help you.
