CheddarReds
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43161444 Permanent deal deadline has changed from 31st to 9th August, starting this summer. Can imagine for this window at least it'll put English clubs at a disadvantage and depending how much of a advantage it is for other nations will decide whether they follow suit the following summer(s). I wonder if more loans with options to buy will appear as well. What do we think?
Red Army 75
I think it’s a good sensible move. Managers and players can concentrate straight away on the team. Than endless speculation
BRISTOL86
Should be shut the day before the first fixture IMO, for loans and perms.

And the January window should be for loans only and only last 14 days. Having said that I think the whole concept of a transfer window is flawed. ScottishRed
Just read the article and clubs outside of the PL can still do loan deals until 31st August - bit of a self serving caveat as it will mean that any EFL clubs can still loan PL players that are deemed surplus to requirements by their parent club. So not quite as big a change as it originally appeared.
