Simple songs can work the best

In my opinion for a song to be adopted in the ground it just needs to be simple, catchy and have some sort of longevity, both in the length of time it can be used across the seasons, but also the length of time a chant can be sung throughout a game. Good examples would include Red Army, gas Scum/17 years and the old classic Doo Be Doo song.

That last song came to mind when I heard this being played in my grand daughters collection, it has all the ingredients needed as above and has the added advantage in that it can be used for multiple players, any in fact with 3 syllable names...... The first part would work best for one syllable surnames and the second part for those with two syllable surnames.

Names that could be sung in the first part include

Aden Flint
Bailey Wright
Korey Smith
Marlon Pack
Ryan Kent
Liam Walsh
Bobby Reid,

Then in the next segment
Frank Fielding
Joe Bryan
Josh Brownhill

Anyway here it is..... with a warning that this is VERY VERY CATCHY

Spontaneously sung songs are the best.

I agree, but they have to come from somewhere and capture lots of people.  I am sure that every "spontaneous" song has been lurking around in someones head leading up to it's first use.
