I'm in Mansfield with my daughter on Sat and they're playing the Leadmill in Sheffield, only 35 miles or so, thinking of making a night of old skool ska in Sheffield. Meanwhile, I'm heading down to the Bristol Ska & Mod Festival in August - From The Jam, The Selecter and The Beat. And the Stone Valley Festival in Hertfordshire in June looks ace; The Undertones, Neville Staple, Secret Affair, Sham 69, Ruts DC. The ideal weekend for those who enjoy scooters and classic live music in the company of bald fat sweaty men. Put on your Fred Perrys and your Harringtons and we'll have a little dance shall we?
