What is blindingly obvious is when teams allow us to play we are a decent side but we do not possess the quality to break sides down who stop us playing. We have a Manager who is Mr Chirpy when things are going well but does not have the nous to change things when teams work us out which is what has happened and goes into his shell. Sadly unless he learns quickly these runs of ours will be a permanent feature until we eventually get relegated. We are struggling for footballing reasons nothing else. OK, we have been found out and we have no viable plan B, we struggle totally in physical games like today and Preston, we have players who are making calamitous mistakes usually resulting in conceding goals, we have nobody who can regularly unlock defences because we have 4 main midfielders in Smith, Pack, Brownhill and Walsh who are very similar and only occasionally unlock defences, our crossing is poor, our free kicks are poor, we do not create nearly enough chances and we have been regularly playing a player who has been pants for 2 months and our January business and loan signings has been sub standard.
