Wouldn’t have blamed those who spent huge amounts of money travelling up the country booing at full time given the nature of the performance.

Depends what they were shouting but I’m not gonna lose any sleep over a well paid young footballer getting some stick off a couple of pissed up blokes.

You are a disgrace to this football club and a poor reflection on the fanbase.

Yesterday was a frustrating day, and a dire 90 minutes of football, but shouting at one of our players in such an aggressive way is out of order and completely unproductive. Fielding didn't put a foot wrong all game and certainly didn't deserve to be on the receiving end of abuse from a few simpletons.

These boys have given us one of the best seasons in recent memory and deserve our encouragement and support until the final whistle on the final game of the season.

How are the players supposed to stay motivated and have belief that a top 6 finish is possible if some of their own fans don't?

Yes, if we don't finish in the top 6 it will be a huge disappointment given our strong first half of the season, but we're still in with a shot and the boys will need our continuous support until the final whistle against Sheffield United if we are to get into the play-offs.

If we do fail to make the play-offs, then we can spend the summer analysing and evaluating what went wrong and what we could have done differently. Until then, lets all get behind the boys for 9 more games and give them the extra push they need to creep into the top 6.

In the final few games of the season, support from the fans becomes even more crucial as players get increasingly tired and in need of encouragement and motivation. So let's give them the support they need.

It is indeed a sad reflection on the malcontents in our fan base but all clubs have them and I'm sure all the players know that.

FF  kept us in it in the first half particularly so why these numpties were abusing him when they should have been applauding him is definitely an odd thing to do.

Im sure FF won't be bothered by it.

Why do people constantly say this nonsense. The amount someone’s paid doesn’t justify the level of personal abuse they are allowed to receive ffs

I think it's a beautiful, symbolic piece of work by the author. Instead of a long pointless rant, he has summed up his frustration in a single punctuation mark. It is as concise as one could hope to find. It says 'enough' 'stop' 'no more'.

To find that level of brevity and yet still convey an important message should be an inspiration to us all.
