There's an interesting film on them called Kedi (Turkish word for cat) they literally followed the lives of a handful of these stray cats and interviewed members of the public who regularly see them, or who will go and feed them. All in Turkish but subtitled, and the people they interviewed had some good humour. IIRC it was originally a university project or something, but took off and ended up grossing $4m.
