  2. Sounded like a man thinking there might be a vacancy soon.
  3. If the club say its happening then it's happening. Don't you dare rely on your own eyes and judgements. Woke up this morning and am dreading going to the Gate.....wondering which BCFC team will turn up? (For the record I align myself fully with your comment- I see no progress only regression)
  4. Tinnion loves to talk about our sell outs as though our crowds are enjoying the football more under Manning. What he fails to realise is fans want to see ex PL clubs!
  5. I certainly agree about Brian Tinnion. IMO miles out of his depth.
  6. This of course is absolute waffle. We were top of the league. LJ playing every game. His job was to take the ball of McCombe and get the play going. Once LJ got injured we lost our way. We struggle to build attacks and we started losing games. The crucial game at stoke springs to mind. Jamie McCombe, with no LJ to pass to. Lumping the ball aimlessly up the field constantly for goal kicks or throw ins. If LJ doesn’t get injured, good chance we get promoted automatically
  7. I’m staying in Newcastle for the weekend so wouldn’t have made much difference, I’d imagine quite a few are doing the same. Around 1,100 sold so not a bad effort
  8. Today
  9. I went to the FGR Fans Forum on Tuesday because of Cotts. He was great and entertaining, effortlessly taking on a Q&A for 1 hour 40 mins with humour, honesty (sometimes brutal) insight and none of the clichés / coachspeak that we get these days. On the other hand Dale Vince didn't turn up at all. At 19:00 we were told he was 'held up and would be along later' but even though everyone was still there at 20:45, the meeting was ended. Conveniently avoiding having to answer any difficult questions about how he's messed up the last 2 years. Ironically his son Dane (FGR 'Director of Projects') stood in for him, very much in the style of Jon Lansdown.
  10. And anyone feeling sorry for them? well just watch this ,
  11. Should have 2 adult tickets available message me
  12. Yesterday
  13. Me too. Absolute ******* classic.
  14. ‘Steve Lansdown, You should have pulled out’
  15. Do you like it because it makes you think of Gary and Lee Johnson?
  16. PL darts but bloody hell... bull, 25, bull for a 125 checkout. Littler...
  17. Larry also picked up a medal when losing the 1971 Cup Final to Arsenal. I think he might just be the most medalled Bristolian footballer. Those European medals are going to take some beating by any future Bristol kiddies playing the game
  18. Who else is rumoured to be leaving? I've not been keeping up to date with the Bears lately.
  19. Pretty solid that to be fair.
  20. I hope he wasn't betting on us to win.

  22. Gone to Taunton on loan
  23. Hi all a general warning to all as I have just received 2x bus gate penalty notices in one week ....the location is Cumberland Road ....I'm a visitor to the area and was aware of the air zone restrictions but thought as I was in the area I'd head for SS Great Britain well the road system is mighty odd and my sat nav( we all rely on them) guided me adequately to the location....however leaving the location as there is construction and diversions and in the melee I missed the tiny sign warning of the 'no left turn on to Cumberland Road' on Gas Ferry Road....this should be a lot bigger...and repeater signs placed alongside the roadside.... its not indicated on sat nav systems yet either.
  24. Can we square the circle? Goes between...? £3-4m in the combined Covid years. (This is before known Covid add-backs and bizarrely a possible Allowance of the debt waiver). Perhaps £3-4m in 2021-22 (again not inclusive of the £2.5m Covid permitted add-back). Then £15m in 2022-23?? I accept you spend more on Allowables post Promotion and Category One helps too but? That being the case their Projected deficit from the Written Reasons is reduced from feared numbers this summer. Down to £6-11m and maybe less, although who knows if some of these were one-off costs that won't be reflected this year.
