  2. Technically, they could have sold less in the South Stand than this season and it’d be sold out because they’re not selling them. Mind. Blown.
  3. Never forgot them unlike most.
  4. I think although I'm prepared to revise my view, that the chances of promotion will be via the playoffs. Parachute clubs are the predominant clubs who will be playing for top 2. There are caveats, e.g. Luron, Sheffield United and Burnley may not be so dominant, in some ways finances could hinder the last 2. Otoh if any of Leeds, Leicester, Southampton stay down, they may well have to retrench as FFP Upper Loss limit drops to £61m next year and Parachute Payments by £10m in Year 2. If Ipswich stay down I don't see them replicating th is year, on the flipside the relegated club a shouldn't (for this level) be such powers as Leeds, Leicester and Southampton at once. The chances as a non Parachute club are diminishingly low however.

  9. That's what I mean, he is Group CEO- thinly spread. Seems a bit of a choppy structure overall.

  12. Leicester City. Premier League champions and FA Cup winners from nowhere. And they're about the same size as us. As Gilbert (Fridge) used to say "You's can always dream "
  13. Hi all, I’m a 5th year student at the University of Bristol, looking for male football fans aged 18-30 to take part in interviews for my dissertation study. It would take around an hour, and would centre mostly on football fandom and women’s football - but watching and liking women’s football isn’t a requirement, just an awareness of it and something to say about it. Please send me an email on gb19565@bristol.ac.uk if you're able to take part or have any questions, I'd love to chat. Thank you!
  14. Wish he would bloody die.... [I mean Donald, not Judd]
  15. Anyone eating their Sleaze & Tinnion crisps whilst reading this thread?
  16. Of course, all 20 clubs and 14/20 is the required threshold as it should be. It's just that I recall crowing from say Ty Bracey 6 months ago or maybe local journos talking up their financial prudence back in the Autumn so.. Agreed. UEFA also have a lower Upper Loss lLmit for clubs in good financial health and lower still if not, their test is two part (The Ratio rule the main bit then €60m in 3 years plus Allowables, rising to €90m with good financial health). The latter bit may or may not include Fixed Assets sales, less permissive than the PL with it I imagine .
  17. Why do you bother! I'm sure Cotswoldred2 is a nice chap however the obsession with attacking Pearson, brushing over the reality of what happened and posting arguments on here is weird.
  18. Hi everyone, Art4fans.uk are planning the next, the 3rd City mural, and are able to offer the option to City fans to be part of the project as a contributor. As a contributor you will be able to tell your own story of your support for City over the years or, if you prefer you can nominate a friend or, relative if you wish. For details on the project and how you can be personally involved please email your interest to Chris Bradfield at cm.bradfield@btinternet.com Thank you.

  21. My favourite, and one that shows Sid's Classics background, is: "At the age of 32 Alexander the Great sat down at the banks of the Hyphases and cried salty tears for there was no more of the civillised world to conquer. Jocky Wilson's 31!!!"
  22. This advice could save your life..... Or at least your ears
  23. He signed them, but used Cardiff's invisible ink. That way when it came to Nantes demand for payment of the transfer fee they could show an unsigned document, so not their player Now they want compensation, they just heat the page up and voila he signed the contract, so must be Cardiff's player!
  24. I wonder what Wenger thinks to var. Any misconduct by one of his players, his quote was always the same I did not see this!
