  2. I expect he’ll know it is a 12 point deduction, for a start.
  3. There's not a right way or wrong was to play football though. Yes it's not as great to watch but they have absolutely made the most of the limited resources they have and should be applauded for doing so well. Unfortunately for them a mixture of a few things such as a lack of pre-season to prepare for a brand new league and playing at home in front of a crowd etc means I think they could be on for one of the lowest points totals ever in the Championship. Ainsworth has done an absolute fantastic job there though and I cannot believe he hasn't been given a chance at a bigger club
  4. Was a very tidy first touch by Jonny Smith and finished well. If he has a great season for Swindon and is seen as ready next season for us then I wonder where he will fit into our system. Assuming Holden is still here and we continue with this 352. Wing back? Centre mid left of the 3? Striker?
  5. @prankerd - sorry, for the purposes of this game Weimann is listed as a forward, so might wanna reshuffle a bit! Reminder that the deadline is 12pm today, folks, so this is your traditional 2hr 43min warning! (@bissellredhead, @citywest30, @Dogbert, @LeeJohnsonsFlatCap, @Nathandao) DEF: Rowe vc (Hunt) MID: Bakinson (Massengo) FWD: Martin (C) (Wells)
  6. The thought of the gas sharing with Newport county sent Newport into lockdown.
  7. Three really good kits this season Maybe Jon Lansdown has found his niche?
  8. Money's too tight to mention - Simply Red
  9. Went to club yesterday in the way to watch Manor Farm. Exchanged my lads new away shirt for a larger size. All done without any fuss. The replacement shirt was upstairs and I don’t recall seeing and shirts on display home or away but everything else seemed to be there. Eldest bought the purple anthem jacket. did notice lots of boxes of Bears merchandise still boxed up by exit doors. They have switched to Umbro for next season and had a fair bit on display already
  10. Haven’t seen it mentioned on here, but lots of pics doing the rounds of Dean Holden plus his brother and dad visiting the Three Lions Pub yesterday - as promised on the Sound of the City interview. Apparently he was there for several hours chatting to everyone and playing pool. A small thing but another gesture that’ll buy him lots of goodwill from City fans. Was anyone on here there?
  11. That's kind of what the memorial stadium looks like today. Minus a few tents, obviously..!
  12. Today

We also discuss transfers, injuries, early season pacesetters and "the sack race" - Cocu under pressure at Derby .... job for LJ perhaps? Join us live at 4.00 and you can text or phone in during the broadcast A recording will be available on the Podbean app later and also Spotify.
  15. Yep, bit of a trap isn't it ???
  16. https://www.eventindustrynews.com/news/culture-secretary-kick-starts-expert-taskforce-to-work-on-fans-return-to-elite-sports-venues I wonder what solutions etc will be proposed.
  17. Blackburn are also very good at the dirty part of the game, as shown when Lenihan grabbed Louis Sibley & basically rugby tackled him rather than let him run free! Blackburn, Preston, Stoke, Birmingham, Millwall, Leeds & WBA were all very adept at that last season & would guess that it hasn’t changed much this season. Taking one for the team as the phrase is coined.
  18. Yesterday
  19. That **** Lampard put the reserves out didnt help my fixed odds.
  20. Hi I will collect next week if that’s ok PM me or text 07809906858 Regards Darren
  21. Despite his retirement, refs still know that Fergie time is always an option............I hate Man U with an almost illogical fervour
  22. 192 off 80 overs is a doddle. I’d imagine we’d want to set 250 ish off 70-65 maybe. Give them the carrot
  23. Many congratulations indeed. Great news for the Palmer family! If he's looked a bit tired recently, we know why
  24. https://www.bristol-sport.co.uk/news/ Shame it’s during a lockdown, but I think this is a bit of a coup for Bristol Sport. Shows the obvious quality of the asset Steve Lansdown has created.
  25. WBA 3-0 up on Chelsea after 29 Mins. WIth 24% possession and 3 shots on target
  26. East Midlands football with null point so far.
