  1. Past hour
  2. Went last Autumn, my Mrs loved the Gothic monastery, the time out food market by the station was great also just sitting on the front with a cheeky bottle of Chablis at sundown was quite relaxing Personally i could of sat on the trams all day going up and down those steep hills rather than having to do all the cultural things with Mrs Tom !!!
  3. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/entertainment/tv/bristol-bears-go-back-to-attacking-as-owner-steve-lansdown-was-bored-with-rugby/ar-BB1lNX10?cvid=480deb1971ec45e18dae23fb2f005236&ei=25 If this is how Lansdown has felt about the rugby, goodness knows what he has thought of some of our home games recently. Excitement in terms of our playing “style” has been in short supply much of the time. And no I am not going to mention “that” game as a counter argument, although it was a return to how this team plays best.
  4. Many congratulations to the early adopter of the perma-tanned hipster look. I'm sure his bacardi breezer sipped from a jam-jar will taste all the more sweet. Seriously though, thought he was an outstanding player.
  5. It's a massive moral dilemma for me as i am a big animal lover but also love jump racing (no interest in flat racing)
  6. Exactly this, how i would love to go back to AG for a day in the 70's for those big games against Liverpool, Man Utd & Leeds in front of 38,000, the atmosphere and emotion was something i've barely experienced since in anything else, it's a whole different experience nowadays and has been for a long time, i blame it on removing the old floodlights !!!
  7. Today
  8. Anybody want a Bolton Wanderers hat from that day? Ive still got it somewhere, i had very little say in the swap and spent the coach journey moaning to my dad,
  9. Aah... the old "legs have gone" statements, when the whole team are struggling. People on here saying that about Nahki a few weeks ago. Just because someone is over 30. Pathetic.
  10. Well, guess what Steve? A lot of your football fans are bored ****less of football right now. S.U.A.F.O.
  11. Yesterday
  12. yes, that's the one. He tweeted often and then just stopped.
  13. People saying it was less as like us they count non season ticket holders massive gaps in the loyal Thatchers end too. could fit last nights entire crowd in lower Lansdown.
  14. Just looking at ticketing site there are as follows, Lansdown 381 left across entire stand. Dolman 91 seats. South Stand no availability So just over 470 home tickets left. if I was the club I’d try and open up the Atyeo £1 a kid and £15 for an adult. As a season ticket holder making cheap tickets available for this end of season match wouldn’t bother me. Could get 2-3k in there as well as some free school tickets. as last game I’d imagine a lot of SS season ticket holders who pick and chose are more likely to attend given last game of season etc.
  15. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/rugby-union/2024/04/17/bristol-bears-back-attacking-steve-landsdown-premiership/ Interesting that - again - Lam is quite happy having a slight dig at Lansdown, albeit in a “letting us play without pressure” type comment. For those who are paywalled, might I suggest taking a 12ft ladder via http://12ft.io
  16. Bad To The Bone...George Thorogood & The Destroyers
  17. If I do half the pubs that have been mentioned in this post there would be no way I would make the game ( lately perhaps that’s a good thing )
  18. The Temple Meads was called the carpet Diem before the landlord was an absolute loon but a lovely bloke, has retired to Spain now but has visited me in portishead previously! They sale That hers gold in there (under the bar!) The bell English pub as was , was ran by a guy from Bristol! Alas it's gone now and he now works for Airbus!
  19. That isn't a logical argument for so many reasons!
  20. Not a good start for Villa at Chelsea tonight, their keeper has been sent off after 4 minutes
  21. Why? You wearing something funny?
  22. Seems from this article that he hasn’t been able to dislodge other defenders in the team who have been playing well https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/football/so-so-unlucky-the-story-of-portsmouth-favourite-s-barren-season-after-bristol-city-s-arrival-s-exciting-fratton-emergence/ar-BB1jbdp3
  23. Obviously not sad or sorry to hear that Michael Donovan who kidnapped Shannon Matthews has died of cancer in prison
