  1. Don't put yourself through it. That final was ten times worse than getting beat by hull

  3. Yep, it's so easy to wind them up, after their 'invasion' of Notts County I simply asked a couple of 'them' at work when they were planning to 'invade' one of their own home games.....and off they went defending their 'huge' home attendances and how they are the best and most loyal away fans ever and how every set of fans around the country love them and hate us! And they really seem to truly believe it! That mob really are like the annoying nephew you see once a year at Christmas....as soon as he walks in the room you realise immediately why you spent the rest of the year trying to avoid him...

  4. Makes sense, many students when they finish UNI stay in the city and if they have any interest in the game will look to go to a few games. Even if they attract only 50 people across the whole of UWE each year 50 / 100 / 150 / 200 / 250 / 300 / 350 ---- these things then tend to blow into larger movements/numbers at which point is just a thing UWE/Rovers where you/friends students/ ex students are Rovers supporters... I would think it's the kind of thing our club would look to do as well.

  7. Hi, a Wednesday fan here. Just thought I'd make a few comments about the game tonight. To begin with, I don't think City deserved to lose. In truth it was a bizarre evening from start to finish, with monsoon rain and water cascading off the visitors' stand like a waterfall. I think that Johnson got his tactics right. The standard way to play Wednesday is to block up midfield, thus forcing them to play it long down the middle, and to get down the flanks and get crosses in. Wednesday's fullbacks tend to be adventurous, so doubling up is politic, and the centre halves are weak on crosses. I think that in the first half City stifled the Owls midfield very well. Wednesday have technically good midfielders, but there is no bite there when Hutchinson plays in defence. In the first half I thought Bristol played really well and executed Johnson's plan to a T. After half time Forestieri came on, and that made a difference. He's the best player in the team...when he's on his feet...and he's a difficult player to play against. Missing the penalty was significant of course, but penalties are a lottery. I think the real turning point was when Bristol went down to ten. Ten against ten suited Wednesday far better than eleven against eleven because it gave Wednesday more time and room to get their midfield passing going. Had City missed the penalty but kept eleven on the pitch then I'm sure that they'd have got something from the game, and possibly all three points. The winner was harsh on City, but City fans don't have much to worry about in my opinion. The club's come a long way since the opening day of last season, so it's all good news. Good luck for the rest of the season.

  10. They're more likely to bring some back from the UWE,but it won't be theft, just a misunderstanding.

  12. Love to be there to ask a series of pressing questions. Like for example what motivated one of their fans to punch a horse after they lost a football match,

  13. I'd love to show up to this and play the dumb student... "So, are there any other clubs in the area?" "Oh right, so what division to they play in?" "Oh. So do they play in a stadium with tents for stands too, or is something a little more up-together?" "Oh OK. Sorry, why exactly would I choose this option?"

  14. Maybe that explains the "Happy Days" comment more than him just being Manager of Rovers?

  16. More hilarity provided by that mob....where's the clown who was on here saying they sell 90% of their capacity every home game and who was the joker who said they sold out every away game allocation last season?! Do they really and truly believe what they say because it's embarrassing...?!

  20. I hope LT and all the supporters realise that he is not bigger than this football club and others get a chance on set pieces etc. We have some decent players here now who can all do a job.

  21. Tomlin didn't mean to miss the penalty. An extra inch the other way and you'd all be creaming over it so don't lay into the lad. I'm way more pissed off about the fact that even though we were taking a penalty and playing against 10 men, Gary O'Neill had to make a stretching challenge from behind to stop them going 2 on 1 against us. Where is the organisation there?! Schoolboy stuff

  22. I'm glad I don't rely on any of you lot next to me in the trenches during a war. What a bunch of whinging pussies who chop and change their over reactions backwards and forwards, before looking for the nearest person to lump blame on. Pathetic!
