Watching the ODI on Sky.cameras swung round to the swamp, Botham saying "..........Bristol Rovers ground, used to be the rugby ground, I believe they are going to re-develope it." I wonder how many locals shouted at the screen (like me)." Yeah, like THAT'S gonna happen " ?6 points

Steve Hamer sends out warning to Bristol Rovers fans 'besmirching' club in wake of racial abuse reports http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/steve-hamer-say-minority-fans-521988 Steve Hamer asked all the racist fans to leave today and this was the result .... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...6 points

Agree. There are Neanderthals everywhere and in all walks of life. Football or not. It's a bit strange though isn't it that there seems to be more need at your dump to send out these reminders to your fans in comparison to other clubs?4 points

WOW just wow!! Unless right at the very front, toes squashed against the mesh then the view left and right would be hugely restricted thus making ''the roof'' pointless in adverse conditions. One knock by a powered chair and the lot would come down! Anyhow I guess it's all irelevant untill they sort out access as with no lift those stairs look ******* deadly I can't believe disabled supporters/Groups were consulted and would encourage any of their disabled fans or non disabled fans to contact the club’s Disabled Supporters Association to question whether the club consulted with the Equality and Human Rights Commission to initiate the plans, in line with the Accessible Stadia guide3 points

You have to be mindful that these people are watching Rovers, so the more restricted the view, the greater the premium a seat.3 points

What quality, what majesty, what architecture! As most people will naturally do I can only compare this to the Palace of Versailles in its sheer awesomeness.3 points

Would love to read some of the suggestions in the suggestion box though.... 'AsK Uwe 2 take us bak OR ElsE RE-DO Mem BEtter'3 points

It all makes sense now. If they were purchased for a disabled area then they would be exempt from VAT - every penny saved and all that.2 points

I can understand why people have that impression, and I know we have an element which has unfortunately not moved with the times, and probably never will. The number of incidents recorded would be a lot lower if our fans weren't reporting people, and then the club following it up with public warnings. Sadly this all probably goes over the heads of the real neanderthals who hold these views, but hopefully some of the youngsters might realise that it's neither big nor clever. We can but hope!2 points
-
To be fair though, you've had more racist incidents than league wins so far this season.2 points
-
I'm not saying that other clubs don't have racist fans, I bet every club in the world must have at least one or two but for a club with quite a small fan base the amount of racist incidents that happen at Rovers games or just comments online must be well above the national average?2 points

That's shocking. So he has previous for sexual assault and is now looking to add some sort of racism charge to his name. What an oxygen thief. Hope those with powers to investigate see his nonsense and remind him of his social responsibility.2 points
-
He ticks many Gas boxes - racist, supports a “big” team in addition to the Gas and doesn't go to the Mem Seems he was at Palace yesterday. Wonder if he will be at AG for the League Cup match. If he is it would be good to let our female fans know to keep an eye out for him before he tries and gets six runs off them2 points

It could have been a Macedoine of vegetables ( i.e. A cold vegetable dish ) or perhaps their microwave wasn't working , it may have been that which caused the power failure . ( Can just see it thinking ' damn these bloody carrots , I'm going to cook them if it's the las... ) Anyhow, you survived and lived to tell the tale of how other folks live .2 points

I've suffered the Gas hospitality package. A few years back I was invited by a client, and couldn't really refuse. The meal was absolutely atrocious. The veg was of the diced, frozen variety and was served cold. Halfway through the "meal" all the lights went out in the hospitality area, the reason for which I assumed was someone forgetting to put 50p in the meter. The only highlight was having a pint in the Wellington pre match, which felt like I was on some sort of dangerous spy mission.2 points

Imagine supporting a club in 2017 that still has to warn people that it's wrong to be racist.2 points

Like when they were in the Basement and they used to say that if they were in L1 they'd sell out their ground every week? Or maybe when we only took 670 to Sheffield Utd a couple of years ago for a 12:00 KO, televised on SKY...and they took the piss saying that if they were in the same position they'd take loads more.... All mouth no trousers as per usual.2 points

I'd edit my 'looms' typo with 'looks', but oddly looms seems to fit more.1 point

And yet they keep clinging to their belief that they are some kind of super fan / uber loyal / family club and its us filthy Teds that are a disgrace to Bristol1 point

Nobody can control what people think. But what people shout/chant at players during games and post on social media..? I honestly can't remember the last time I heard or saw that from other clubs. Of course it must happen, but 1 game bans (if that's what Rovers are dishing out) is not sufficient for such blatant examples.1 point

I assume you missed the photos of him in the City end away at Cardiff last season?1 point

1 game ban for racist behaviour seems lenient to be honest, but I suppose when your as cash strapped as the sags every penny counts.1 point
-
I didn't realise that the sags once rose to the dizzy heights of playing Burton Albion. That truly was a cup final for them. I bet they took 15 or 20 million away for that.1 point

Certainly isn't doing himself any favours, but all clubs have them apparently.1 point

A suggestion box?!?! FFS! It's all a bit embarrassing isn't it Balti pies back on sale, captain gas has a new uniform and a suggestion box. Bit of a pi55 take really, either they've run out of ideas or believe a few of their fans are literate.1 point

I honestly thought that Post article was a wind up, its the sort of improvements you may see at a village team in the Mid Somerset league, ive got a suggestion for the box, - - -k off back to the non league where you belong although they are way behind plenty of non league clubs, they are an embarassment to Bristol and football.1 point

I thought the 114-114 scorecard was probably right, neither did enough to win, but as one was defending, I guess he did enough not to lose his belt either.1 point

In the interests of fairness clubs should start giving attendance figures of Rovers fans locked out in the car park.1 point

Don't get thinking we just have to turn up on Tuesday to get the points, many times in the past we underestimate a team at the bottom. i will settle for a 1-0 Tuesday1 point
