Glad you like the video. This isn't even 1/4 of the gifts that they have given us!7 points

Are we supposed to believe that in L1 today - leaving aside the bigger clubs like Wigan and Plymouth, with their thousands of followers - are we to believe that Blackpool took more to Milton Keynes, Northampton more to Fleetwood, AFC Wimbledon more to Shrewsbury, and diddly Rotherham more to Southend than Rovers took to Peterborough? This is madness! Sorcery!5 points

3,034 Plymouth at Charlton (a 240 mile journey). 400 Few at Posh (a 174 mile journey). That's this weekend's L1 West Country numbers....4 points

Rovers fans will be delighted to hear that the confidentiality agreement between Rovers and UWE does not apply to delegates at the Coliseum Summit which was held in London this week. And even more so to learn that the elite group of executives who attended the junket can be trusted not to reveal details of those delicate negotiations which are taking place about the redevelopment of the Memorial Stadium. If only we were all so privileged ... http://www.coliseum-online.com/europe-coliseum-summit-2018/conference-program/ 4:10 pm Fallout of the breakdown of a deal In any business, not all deals are meant to be a success. How to manage a situation when a deal doesn't go through? In this session, we will learn from the failed negotiations between Bristol Rovers and UWE, what went wrong and why the plug was eventually pulled, and how did Rovers handle the consequences and fallout of the breakdown of the deal. We'll also get a peek into the alternative action plan the club is working on at the moment. Wael Al-Qadi President, Bristol Rovers FC, UK2 points

I reckon you're not far off there mate, he has had a seriously murky past. I'm sure we all know what the tear tattoos under his eyes are meant to signify too.2 points

Smith needs to be removed as captain, otherwise Australia are sending out the message they condone pre-meditated cheating. I also hope Somerset rip up Bancroft's contract for the summer.2 points

Still in with a sniff of the Play Offs, win today and they could've been back to just 4 points off a top six place so potentially an important game for them.....and they've got the nerve to take the piss out of us? 407 on a Saturday to the East Midlands is pathetic. ...and they'll still bang on and on about how 'amazing' their away support is. Well, 2 more than we took to Preston, however we didn't have the luxury of visiting Deepdale on a Saturday afternoon with the option of going by train. Then we have to put up with berks on here telling us that "Rovers would definitely take more" if they were in our position. Clearly they wouldn't.2 points

Hardly fair though. Don't forget literally tens of them would have been in Peterborough.1 point

We don't need them to do that. We're quite capable of doing that for ourselves. All, er, by ourselves.1 point

It’s not often I genuinely ‘laugh out loud’ at something but this is one of those occasions. Brilliant.1 point

My grandson has posted on Facebook he's off to London Road this afternoon to cheer on Posh against the gas. I added the comment; Remember all you Posh fans; Please sing (to the tune of Guantanamara) "One Team In Bristol, there's only one team in Bristol" then watch the reaction of they gasheads. That'll make I laugh!1 point

In laymans terms, no financial organization would want to lend money to a company with zero assets, inadequate cash flow, especially with specialized collateral that cannot be liquidated to offset the potential chargeoff of the loan. I'm pretty sure we are on the same page here. It's an extremely risky investment. Isn't that why they are looking more for a private investor as a bank wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole?1 point

contradiction Youth Team Posts: 38 Posting Level Next Level in 62 posts 3 hours ago yatetown85, Lord Justice Gashead, and 4 more like this QuotePost by contradiction on 3 hours ago My goodness, how decent is that.. ? That would hold its own with the Christmas videos. My Rovers have become professional organisation, this is amazing stuff. We are on the move. This is what happens when you have professional people running the club. The corner shop mentality has finally gone (although the usual suspects will no doubt argue that the cost of the video should have been spent on a centre forward) ------------------------------------------------- The above was obviously posted on Asschat before he popped to Spec Savers, otherwise he would of surely realised he had missed out on getting his season ticket for a few groats and a couple of rabbits cheaper. Btw did they have Spec Savers in 1018?1 point

A good summary of possible goings on, Eddie. Thanks. For this to be appealing to any third party investor, use of the stadium and its infrastructure would need to be maximised. Many of our fellow supporters dislike the Bristol Sport concept and sharing AG with the egg chasers but in truth, it's a more sound business model than would have been seen had City gone forward alone. It enables the stadium to be used for sporting events every week through the season added to which it has quickly become established as a popular events and conference venue. In a city the size of Bristol, there is only room for one Bristol Sport concept - and we're a cornerstone of it and thus, able to enjoy the benefits of it. Any 'other football club' in the city will use their ground on just 23 occasions each season, plus cup ties - so just 23 occasions then. For conference facilities, they will find themselves competing with hotels, us (with the prospect of a new arena rumoured to be planned by SL) and the city council - once their new arena is built at TM. I accept that may be someday, one day or maybe never but if it is ever built, competition for conferences and events in Bristol will become extremely fierce. I just don't see how the likely profit from 23/365 (see what I did there?) events can entice a non-partisan investor to part with £30-40m.1 point

18 seasons and counting since you finished above us. Of course that's well short of the 47 years from 1902 until 1949 but there's plenty of time to beat that record., in fact, it's doubtful you'll ever finish above us again. Yes you exist, but so does VD, dog dirt and the Ebola virus, all of which are as equally unpleasant as Bristol Rovers supporters.1 point

To be fair, I think your attendances are quite good. They're almost as good as in 1966 when you averaged 9,000. They then increased slightly over the next few years and ten years later was the last time you averaged 10,000, that was 44 years ago. Oh yes, according to BRFC, your capacity is 12,011. Get your facts right and fek off.1 point
