Such a good undercard I got the moths out my wallet and paid for it rather than depending on a stream,as for price than he is one that glass chin applies to but obviously hope he wins2 points

I don't really get why people think he can ko Joshua when he pitter- pattered on a static, rotund Andy Ruiz, didn't trouble Takam at all and barely landed a shot on Hughie in their snoozefest, whereas Joshua got back up from Wlad's best punch in years. You could have made a case on points if AJ came in much heavier than he has, but I just can't see Parker having the power to stop him. Edit- jinx @Super !2 points

Bob- ffs- just leave it alone. Within nano seconds you're back to picking fights and getting nasty. You often have really good contributions and valid ones yet you have a split forum personality where you can adopt a really unpleasant edge for reasons beyond the comprehension of many including the Mods. It's just a forum ... football's just a game... and Lee Johnson and Steve Lansdown are not the Anti-Christ. Our club is doing quite well atm compared with over a 100 yrs of being an 'also ran'. Try not to find offence in posters who see the positive in the same way as some of us struggle not to take offence with posters who only see the negative.2 points

What?! That certainly was not a close fight imo. Joshua won by a mile, Parker offered next to nothing.1 point

We knew Parker wasn’t all that,I guess he will say I still haven’t been knocked out yet still which is true but he will never be if he doesn’t come to fight1 point

Poor ref and a very timid performance by Parker. Even the NZ judge gave it to AJ by 8 rounds. Parker wouldn't engage and the ref wouldn't let them fight inside. Fair play AJ, but I expected a LOT more from Parker.1 point

Always amazes me how often you see this, I'd be sparring in an identical pair for weeks before a fight to make sure I was entirely comfortable.1 point

Oh, SkyBet offering enhanced prices on AJ to go down but win (16/1) & to win in the 10th (20/1), I have £10 on each.1 point

The problem price has that he was thinking that if I rush in and try to finish and get caught then it’s game over,in hindsight he should of but when you have been knocked out heavy like he has been before it must play in your mind1 point

Oh dear haha. Good try Price. He always looked too scared to follow up the jab, but it was a semi brave effort.1 point

Parker seems preternaturally calm. But everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face (tm, M. Tyson). edit- a mate has sent me this, it doesn't work on virgin, but may with a vpn, can't vouch for it: http://cdn.livetvcdn.net/webplayer2.php?t=alieztv&c=62491&lang=en&eid=648293&lid=903808&ci=13&si=61 point

Yeah, all the latecomers usually send me into a panic, scratching around for streams as the main event is about to start. This should be ok all night, not the best quality but the first row streams are generally reliable. http://firstrowsportes.net/boxing/anthony-joshua-v-joseph-parker-krk5b8374?l=13655029671 point

They definitely need a new stadium. 12k capacity ground like the Mem is far too big for them.1 point

A note on the ramifications of yesterday’s match after last night’s matches and today’s single Championship game; With both Sunderland and now Birmingham winning since we snatched victory from Barnsley’s grasp in the last minute yesterday, they’ve dropped down into the bottom three. And despite wanting to take the ‘high road’; after their support’s near total silence when not in front yesterday (and even then they were hardly ferocious) other than goading LJ just prior to our second equaliser, I’m a little smug that results have ended up with us level on points with 5th place, and the Tykes two points from safety.1 point

I know BBSB and he knows his stuff! I would agree with Nogbad, the MODs should start to penalise the idiots who are winding up BBSB. One of them was just rubbishing everything he posted last night. Just use the ignore option BBSB. They have nothing decent to post on here anyway, so what’s the point? Your knowledge of football is well respected on OTIB. Keep up the positive postings and ignore the rubbish they post..1 point

Dont get me wrong, I think Joshua will probably win but weighing up all the odds, Parker to win by KO is best bet. Joshua odds too short in my opinion1 point

Warner? Banned. Haha. I like QDK, he's good, he struggled with the label of next big thing for SA I think1 point

Absolutely, but it could take even longer if we lose Flint, Baker, Bryan, Reid, Smith, Brownhill before next season...all possible in my opinion....we would be starting again, not building on this season...1 point

Agreed that we were lucky to get even a point. Barnsley struggled to hit the target . Our tactics of long balls up to one striker marked by three huge defenders was mystifying. Make no mistake we did very well to gain a point today but our performances are not those of a promotion team. We looked disjointed, lacking ideas and fight . The midfield were , once again, over run . The defence all over the shop and the forwards so far away from each other that they could have been playing in different matches . There is a lot of work to do and IMHO we are nowhere near promotion contenders. I believe we can do it so it's so frustrating that we aren't. What has changed ?1 point

It’s not just the points total that shows we are in decline. Performances this year have simply not been good enough with very little creativity, shots on target, energy, control and tempo. We are terrible away from home and not great on the eye at home. A couple of performances have seen us back to our old selves but on the whole it feels like a team that doesn’t know how to get out of this downward spiral1 point

On the face of it we clearly have (And at times played some great stuff) This however against the freehand to recruit approx 30 players And despite that the spine and main stalwarts in the side and those lauded as our best are not in amongst those numbers but were here before LJ arrived That concerns me The fact that our recruitment is IMHO very questionable means that if / when Reid / Flint / Bryan etc move on the same recruitment personnel will replace them and I’ll nail my colours to the mast and say I have little confidence that the result will be positive Add to the fact that our best run came when there were few selection options and we were forced to play in a particular way , a way we have gone away from - looking a confused set up right now Thus the future concerns me with the present set up1 point

Well in my humble opinion, we got away with that one, we were mainly abject today in what has mainly been an abject 3 months. LJ who sometimes seems be beyond criticism got pretty much everything wrong today. Team selection, it was always going to be physical game and he played Paterson who is the softest player on the books and in the middle of a shocking run of form, he leaves out Kelly who had looked solid and replaces him with Bryan who has been struggling for form at left back for a while now, when I would have thought that playing Bryan in a midfield would have been a wiser option. Substitutes, having made the decision to play Paterson, he takes him off and then inflicts Kent upon us, whose first 4 actions were to give 2 passes away leaving us chasing breakaways and then 2 more passes straight into touch. Kent has been a shocking and unnecessary signing. Djuric for Pack was simply ridiculous, we had a point and he decides to chase the game for all 3 points and it nearly cost us the game. We got into some very good crossing positions today but our crossing especially when we have time to pick somebody out is aimless. A point is a point and it’s to our credit that as always we kept going but it has to be said we were lucky in so many ways today, with all of the above and Wright lucky not to have been sent off. LJ you need to up your game, you got it wrong today.1 point
