  1. How can some people get funny about posting Henbury Gas’s business details on here but then not mind posting pictures of Stuart Sinclair’s home address..?!

  2. Can I just say, that’s a great misspelling and also a great nickname for Wally. The nature of their improvements suggests he is indeed “Tentyman”

  3. So says their supporters chauffeur.... They are inconsequential these days but you've been around long enough to remember why we don't like them surely?

  7. Born and bred in Kingswood. Had the displeasure of growing up with the fewers. In 82 I was at speedwell school with the ***** and got slaughtered for our troubles. Will never forget them trying to take Ashton from us. Then to cap it all off I drank in the same pubs as them in 1990. So please excuse me whilst I celebrate the last near 18 years, Funnily enough most of the ones dishing it out have become bitter sad bastards. I'm loving it

  9. Just had the displeasure of driving past the Rugby Ground. My little one (8) asked me ‘why do all their fans look like grown up versions of the weird kids at school?’!! Love her

  10. Still much prefer my team to have Korey in it. I simply do not believe our team is better without him.

  12. I’m not quite sure what some people expect from a mid-table Championship team that has just sold over £25m worth of players but I was happy enough with the performance. City completely controlled the game away from home and if it wasn’t for a ridiculous 3 minute spell of sucidal defending, I think we’d have won. Tempo could have been better first half and we certainly lack the threat and presence of Diedhiou but there were some good performances. Bolton defended well and in numbers making them hard to break down. 2 teams make a game btw, some people don’t seem to get that it’s not just City that dictate the flow of a match. Bolton must have committed about a foul every few minutes today. Surprised at some of what I’m reading. Maybe my expectations are lower than others this year.

  13. Honestly don't understand people bashing this side halfway through the second game! Especially when our defence consisted of two new signings and a talented but inexperienced Kelly, Eliasson who's only just made the squad/first 11 this season along with newboys maenpaa and Weimann. That's essentially half a new team starting, it's going to take a good 10 or so games before this team clicks, honestly shocked that some are surprised we're dodgy in some areas at the moment. This team will get better as the season goes on, the signs are there but it's going to take a few games for it to all gel together just don't be surprised if we have a slow start!

  18. Over recent seasons there have been very barren pickings indeed for City from the newly named University of Bolton Stadium. Dean Holden interestingly and forthrightly saying he felt they had every chance of winning the match. Bolton Wanderers were actually Holden's very first club. The left or centre back journeyman had no fewer than 10 clubs including a short loan stint at Valur of Iceland while still at Bolton; I did not see him participating in the Icelandic clap while Magnússon was at the club; clearly such 'trends' came much later. Dean Holden's time at Bolton was relatively short and he left 16 years ago to join Oldham Athletic. Nevertheless he may have a tinge of nostalgia when going back. I have said it before and no doubt I will say it again that Bolton are the second most recognisable example, for me, of a club that 'hit a ceiling' in the Premier League then bottled it. The now infamous discussions Sam Allardyce had with the then Chairman Phil Gartside. Of course Sam was perhaps not party to the building debts underwritten by then owner Eddie Davies so it was a scenario destined to force Gartside's hand in not agreeing to the purchase of players Sam wanted to guide the club into a regular top 6 team. He left and within a season they were down and, so far, have not returned. The club were £172 million in debt at one time. Hard to fathom but true. That Bolton remained in the top flight for 11 seasons is remarkable testament to both chairman and manager although they may have got their sums disastrously wrong along the way and Davies seemed asleep at the wheel and unable to prevent it. Today City should, at least on paper, have enough but we often lose matches when we underestimate the opposing team; that happened in the same venue last season as I recall. It will, therefore, be very satisfying to win today. Good day all.

  22. We look good when we let rip . All this sterile passing around at the back is ok if there is some movement, speed and attacking intent at the end of it . I am happy with a point . We are still settling in new players and it's looking ok . Weiman , 3 in 3 ! Hope he's not too badly injured he got a knock and limped off when subbed. Would be just our luck to lose him . Keeper did Ok. Defence looking sound even if we shipped two goals . Webster has some lovely passes in him . Eisa will score soon he is always in the right place at the right time.

  23. Great pressure towards the end of the match, Eisa nearly won it for us. Glad the players didn't give up at 2-0 down like some on here. Always going to be tough to seamlessly carry on after loosing 3 key players and our senior striker for 6 matches but the lads battled to the end. Let's get behind the team and support them as supporters should. COYR!

  27. There were some positives, we controlled the game in the first half, with only a couple of snapshots from Josh and an over hit cross against the woodwork to show for it, because of no real support for Weimann who was working his socks off again. The frustration is it's a game we should won, Taylor in the No.10 role instead of Pato , or Eisa alongside Weimann and we probably could have turned our 70% possession in the first half into goals.

  28. One thing that listening to the game annoyed the hell out of me was our final substitution. All for Eisa coming on as he's a goal threat. Problem I have is with the manager taking off our main set piece taker. In the 3 minutes without Eliasson, we made a mess of 2 excellent set piece opportunities through poor delivery. Sorry but it's flipping obvious that you leave your set piece taker on the pitch if you're going for a win...

  29. Please do not spin this as anything other than what it is another poor performance against an incredibly poor side, it took 2 goals against us before we upped our game from a painfully slow, obvious and stuttering performance to actually put some real effort in and moving at pace. We only started to create after we conceded 2 goals, the languid, slow almost negative style does not suit us, we are clearly better moving at pace. Paterson scoring means he will now be undroppable for the next 20 or so games, the free kick near the end is more of an indication of his form. As far as LJ is concerned if he says in his post match interview that Bolton are good side he is ******* liar and 21 points from the last 24 league games no wins in our last 6 is his recent record and he needs to improve. We created sweet FA until we conceded 2, our final ball, crossing, corners, free kicks and even long balls were woeful all afternoon, we lack creativity in midfield.

  31. Thank goodness there was no otib when Alan Dicks was given several seasons to build a promotion winning team. So many critical comments when we’ve sold some of our better players ,are bedding in newbies and missing our main striker. I think we are progressing albeit slowly and look forward to getting better as the season progresses.

  32. Good City following here, poor turnout from Bolton esp given its their first home game. City done a lot of passing, mostly side to side. Tactic seems to be the ball over the top but all have been iverhit so far. Stand outs so far Kelly (Joe who?) Webster appears to be a footballer Brownhill ( although often he us the deepest lying player collecting the ball from the goalie) Pato one ling range shot otgerwise nothing Eliasson not in the game at all O’Dowda has had to contest 5 headers, havent seen the ball played to his feet yet. Wiemann a lot of good rubs which noone is spotting. Pack not in the game Baker solid. All Bolton have done is foul, how did they ever beat West Brom? Hoping I don’t find out second half.

  34. Absolutely. Sounds so simple, but all three of those "star" players that left us, left because they chose to. All had the chance to stay, we wanted them all to stay, all chose to leave. It's time to move on and for people to stop holding it against the club IMO.

  43. GDPR only applies if you PROCESS personal data; meaning that you do something with it. If you're not going to do anything with it then you're not going to collect it in the first place. Somebody posting the personal details of another person on a forum has absolutely zero to do with GDPR. Though I am sure that as a world-renowned IT expert Henbury Gas or his savvy legal adviser (aka John from the chippy) are fully up on this legislation so would already know this.
