  1. In true Sag style they went completely over the top with their celebrations in attracting new owners regardless of whether it was going to bring them any future success or not. They were desperate, absolutely desperate, and Mr “Hello, unlucky da shit” was your typical Sag. Not just content with having new owners, but just couldn’t resist the temptation to have a dig at City. This is why they are the gift that keeps on giving. Had he not mentioned “da shit” then he wouldn’t have got half as much stick, but he couldn’t help himself and totally dropped his pants without waiting to see exactly how the Al Qadis would run the club. He wasn’t alone. The “It’s official, oldest, wealthiest club in the West” picture came out, goading Ted’s. Most sensible people (which was most City fans and a number of cautious Sags) wanted to see some evidence that the Al Qadis were going to invest and move the Sags forward before getting caught up in the hype, but right from the very first interview with Hamer you got the impression that the takeover wasn’t quite the scenario that Sags had been spouting off about whilst goading us. If you watch Steve Hamers interviews and check out his body language (not what he says) you can see that he is very guarded. I smelt a rat very early on, but it seems that deluded Sags were caught up in finishing 2nd in the Conference, having an open top bus tour to celebrate and carrying Wally down Gloucester Road like he was some sort of Messiah, even though all he had done at the time was to invest in a new scoreboard. Now the polish is well and truly off of the turd the Sags are acting like victims again. Well Saggies, you set yourselves up for a massive fall. You should have been content with still having a club instead of giving it the biggun to the Teds. You will never learn though. You are driven by impulse, a deep rooted jealousy of anything and everything City and a constant belief that you are hard done by with off the scale delusions of grandeur. As long as you continue to be like that this thread will always exist, as will your gifts.

  6. Some claim that, as it includes a picture from the day they became a league club, in 2015 !!

  7. It will be interesting to see how the fake sheikh can actually sell something that is worthless. He would have to find some mug who's prepared to pay double its worth and that will never happen so administration must soon be looming whilst they fade away and recoupe their expenditure and make a substantial profit by building houses on that land earmarked for a training facility. And where did that original expenditure come from? By borrowing money against the only asset which is the swamp. Paddle and creek springs to mind

  8. Only Rovers could get the only Middle Eastern owners who won't spend money.

  9. The winner of this week’s Euromillions is based in the UK and earned £75m which is more than @bodin earlier estimated, in this thread, to be the net worth of the entire al Qadi family. No doubt Wael will already be trying to find that lucky punter to see if he’d like to buy a football team (one careful owner but a whole heap of crap ones). Selling a football club isn’t easy, Wael. These things take time.

  10. Why would they complain? Makes them look like a professional club for once ?

  15. I think the word ‘Biggest’ was also used iirc. Utterly laughable, Swindon are older and we’ve been a League club FAR longer than the Sags. Wealthiest? HAHAHAHAHA Biggest? They really do bring it on themselves ?

  16. There was misconception. Look back at the posts on OTIB from around the time of the take over. It took about a 3 days for City fans to establish and question exactly what you’ve just put there. It’s typical Gas delusion and gullibility that’s taken most of you so long to realise what was easily found through a few simple google searches..! Just to put it into context for you (gashead’s, not so much “you” inparticular).... if the Al Qadi family invested the same in redeveloping the Mem as Lansdown spent on redeveloping Ashton Gate, they’d probably now qualify for housing benefit, due to the lack of funds they’d have remaining..!

  19. My opinion on it was they thought they could get UWE and that Rovers would shoot up in value, and as soon as they realised they couldn't they lost interest. But the issue, and the reason I was never too hopeful of "evolution not revolution" is because this very rarely happens. The whole billionaire invests in a small club bucket-loads of money has sold many teams the false dream of foreign owners. Has only happened to Wolves, Chelsea and Man City in this country. And even then all 3 were miles higher on the football pyramid than Rovers. The best comparison I can think of is the takeover of fifth-tier German side SSV Markranstädt, who were refounded as Redbull Leipzig with a change in colours and club name. They shot up the football pyramid and are now 3rd in the Bundesliga. But the question begs, would you want that to happen to your club? I wouldn't want Rovers to be rebranded as "Redbull Bristol." But even with that comparison there was huge potential as there were no big clubs from Leipzig and of course Redbull is miles richer than the Al Qadis could ever be. Wael's support of Prince Ali bin Hussein for FIFA president also showed to me that he wasn't going to be this owner we could only dream of, he was going to be someone who followed the rules at all cost.

  21. They're just speculators taking advantage and your lot lapped it up. They thought they could finance the stadum using UWE's money. They had no intention of spending any of their own money and now even the "asset" that is the swamp has so much debt attached to it. You are now in a worse position than ever before. You weren't even their first choice FFS!

  22. The same view their messiah Wael would have ‘enjoyed’ when carried down that shithole road on their grubby shoulders....just after the drunken fool became the ‘unlucky da shit’ You Tube sensation! As @Peter O Hanraha-hanrahan said above.....this thread wouldn’t have stood the test of time unless that funny little club up the road continued to give reason after reason after reason for us to laugh at them.....and they’ve done it again! An aerial shot of our stadium illuminated at night on their website....they must be seething, whilst we are giggling....cheers saggies....thanks for the non stop conveyor belt of gifts.....keep ‘em coming!

  24. FAQ Q19. What is included in my Season Ticket? Your season ticket entitles you to access to (sic) all SkyBet Home League One fixtures only. Nice to see they’re confident that they’ve already avoided relegation. Wycombe anybody?

  26. Hahaha I do try to just browse this place and not comment anymore but this post says a lot more about your pathetic life than it does Rovers fans/or just rivalries in general. I'd you genuinely feel like that after seeing a opposing fan in his colours then you have a lot of growing up to do, Mr Rage x
