  1. Jealous of the attention and not to be outdone, Rovers have announced their new badge....

  2. But Rovers fans are pikeys, Your club is up shit creek, Without a pot to piss in, And less support each week. You made a corporate video, Included Ashton Gate, You thought that we’d be bothered, And might just get irate. We didn’t give a flying ****, In fact we took the piss, Increase your dwindling fan base, By shagging your own Sis. You edited our new badge, Predictably, like you do, By changing 1894, To 1982. Still longer than you’ve been a league club, And most GHS who are living, You really are pathetic Sags, This gift just keeps on giving.

  4. Here's the irony: this thread isn't dedicated to your club; it's dedicated to taking the piss out of your club. That you post upon it, believing it to simply being dedicated to your club, is the irony. It doesn't exist so that we can be reasonable in our attitude to your club; it exists so that we can denigrate and laugh at every curious decision your club takes; so that we can marvel at how well your fellow fans believe that they are perceived by the supporters of other teams (present company excepted) up and down the country. Stay and enjoy the fun by all means but don't expect a fair hearing from other forum members who frankly, don't give a shit about your club unless we can turn it to our amusement.

We’re not on here for sensible debate so I don’t know why you bother to do so. You are welcome on here , just can’t understand the pre or during game posting . Now if you don’t mind I’m going to enjoy our 3 points.

  8. All gasheads secretly want to be City fans these days; they're just scared to admit it. I think Steve Lansdown should declare a gashead amnesty in the summer so that any gashead can exchange a Rovers season ticket for a City one and a Rovers shirt for a brand new City shirt with our new logo. As it stands they want to support us but don't know how to make the switch. If Steve does declare this amnesty then come August the gas crowd will consist of Henbury and his imaginary disabled friend.

  9. Oh dear........ Can someone post this on One Turd along with the latin name for american robin, turdus maximus or whatever it was? Here you go you sad little shit, I’ll post it on here for you so you can get your little hard on and **** over your sister as your shite little ‘dig’ at us makes it onto our pisstaking thread. Nothing like our new badge, imagine trying to take the piss when your badge is a camp pirate personally I’d be more than happy if we decided to have 1982 instead of 1894, it’ll just highlight to everyone how shit you really are. Now off you go and enjoy your relegation battle won’t you.

  14. They’re so ******* pathetic aren’t they? ? Got absolutely nothing they can throw at us so they go on and on and on about financial problems we had 37 years ago. No one else in British Football cares or takes any notice when blurt it out half way through giving a BJ to an oppo fan behind the ‘Welly’. Bristol City, officially over a century of League football. Bristol Rovers ?

  17. I was livid - I’ve always rated Weimann, he was superb as a Villa player - LJ just seemed to think that Fammy had to go straight back into the team because he cost so much. Then he persisted in playing Paterson pushing forward behind Fammy - whilst Weimann was isolated on the wing or left on the bench. And now people are starting to say how good Weimann looks - I was saying it from the moment he joined us. Who knows how many goals he’d have scored this season if we’d let him continue his amazing start to the season.

  25. Evening chaps. Great result for you today, delighted that you've damaged the pigs promotion hopes, but equally frustrating as I'm still clinging on to our own faint playoff chance. At least Norwich did us both a favour this evening. Looking forward to some boxing tonight.

  29. I've been going to City away games since the age of 16, i stopped going when my little one arrived in 2013, 27yrs of going up and down the country following my team. You simply haven't got the irony, have you? Whether you go or not to the Mem, that's entirely up to you - but posting on here instead? Whilst I'm watching my daughter at ballet and swimming and soft play, i might not be at an away game but i'm also not posting on your forum either. The ultimate irony will be either you or Miah taking this thread on page 1000....carry on!

  31. Yes to be honest, I did think you were going to get smacked today so congratulations on the win. From the stats you clearly deserve it and Weimann looks a very good player. I think there was a buzz about him scoring a lot at the beginning of the season correct? Did he fall of a bit? Inconsistent? Genuine question.

  33. I've explained a number of times why I post on this forum but whatever. Use this forum much more than I've ever used Gaschat because i'm a pessimistic fan and have been surrounded by City fans all of my life. You're talking about MY club on a matchday for Bristol City. How is that any different? And @BanburyRed I assume you're on the way home from Sheffield? Wouldn't want to be a hypocrite would you?

  37. Outstanding goal today but what Championship clubs would want a player who's only been scoring for around 4 months in 3 years? The teams who go up will have better players, and I can't think of a League 1 club that'd be able to afford the fee Coughlan would likely demand for him (you may point to the Taylor, Bodin and Harrison fees; but Taylor refused to sign a new deal unless there was a low release clause, Bodin only had 6 months left on his deal and Harrison had been good for a couple seasons). That's just my opinion though.

  40. Absolutely no idea! Georgie Bingham was interviewing, the 'Cock' was explaining their upturn in form (less the Doncaster Utd game obviously), then just threw 'Bristol City' into the conversation for no apparent reason. #bizarre #obsessed

  42. Hahaha Mundo would absolutely destroy BJS. I see his comeback fight is now in the boxing hot-spot of Stevenage! I don't t know what they've been putting in Pricey's cornflakes but he has the raging hump at Ali (very strong language) I'm quite looking forward to the card tomorrow, it's going to be dumb but fun!

  43. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ”a club like us” Havent averaged over 10k at home for 40+ years and currently only manage to shift around 5k STs a season. Yeah, they REALLY need 20-25k stadium... Deluded idiots. Must be terrible to have so little ammo take the piss out of your rivals that you quickly rack up 5 pages of bollocks, all cracking the same ‘jokes’ about a badge change and supposed lack of history. Over a century of League football and a stadium we’ve occupied for the entire time. That’s more history than they can ever dream of. Bristol Rovers....no real home, a kit, ground and anthem stolen from others.

  44. Can I just say, your new badge is shite. Just wanted to get that off my chest

  45. There are. However, and without wishing to divert the thread, if that was the primary legal basis then Nick Higgs' "watertight" contract to sell the Memorial Ground to Sainsbury's would have gone through. It didn't because contracts are usually determined in law by their written terms.
    1 point
  46. The contract issue I've read is that there was a clause included stating that the player had to be registered by a certain date. The reason being that if the deal fell through by that date then it gave them enough time in the transfer window to tie another player transfer together. Cardiff's argument seems to be that as the registrations in question were not completed by the date specified, the contract is void. However, if that were the case why were Cardiff flying the player back to Wales for training with the team? @29AR posted Essentially it seems - if under UK law - Cardiff are saying there were what’s called conditions precedent; contract terms which must be fulfilled before a contract can be concluded. They say they weren’t. However, certainly under U.K. law there is case law confirming a contract can be concluded by conduct, even if some terms aren’t complied with. This is a summary of a recent decision - https://www.walkermorris.co.uk/publications/disputes-matter-may-2015/contract-by-conduct-a-cautionary-tale/ I'm no legal expert, but I would have said that Sala flying to Cardiff to start training with his "new" club would be conduct indicative of the contract being concluded ( bar payment of the fee, of course!!!) so it will be interesting to see how this one pans out. As I mentioned in previous post, I reckon that clubs involved in transfers with Cardiff will have their solicitors going over the contracts with a fine tooth comb in future.

  47. If Cardiff or any club believe they have acted within the law and (more importantly) can prove it then they and in my view, majority of clubs would try to do the same thing to save millions. I don't condone it myself but for people to be surprised by this, surprises me. Football is a shady business these days with the amount of money being thrown about and if a business believes it legally hasn't done anything wrong then they will try to save money. The moral right thing to do won't come in to it - especially in modern football.
