Why on earth was he not brought on today? That was a game that was crying out for a bit of magic and he certainly should have come on instead of Taylor if not before then.

City bottling it again, as we do every season

The ref didn’t force our players to overhit every pass and every cross

Actually I feel sorry for both sides today, as they had to endure bewildered referee impersonator...............come on down Scott Duncan. How many red cards is that now Scott?
  5. 5 points
Welcome to our forum Scott Duncan..........but I think we've heard enough from you already this season?

11th most expensive first XI. Surprised Leeds first team is so cheap

Still haven't got the quality to make it to the Prem and I think I will never see it in my lifetime. Only ever seen them in the heady days of the old First Division and will have to make do with that.

In the context of Bristol City seasons of the last 20 years, these last games of the season are about as big as they get, and Reading at home is about as ‘need to win’ as they get too. So, whilst our play-off hopes aren’t over should we not be victorious, it very much IS a must-win in my opinion.

Piss poor passing all day.. Pack.... Hunt... The commentators talk about "lack of quality".. It has nothing to do with quality. Sunday League.. Totally piss poor. Johnson gave the game away with the starting eleven.

More likely most are armchair supporters who’d rather park their fat backsides in front of the telly.

I don’t understand the fact that you post relentlessly about a subject of which you claim to have ‘zero interest’....

We are clearly missing a creative CAM and an out and out proven striker....kodjia, assombalonga, Adams type footballer. Will SL pay for proven quality? We progress every season and it's excellent to see.....but we do need that bit of quality that we are missing. Will he sign proven championship quality? What are people's thoughts for this summer?

O'Leary....................7.....Maturing with every game. Hunt........................4....Struggled from the start and crossing was woeful. Kalas......................7.....Steady throughout and some quality defending. Webster.................6......Not as commanding as usual but solid. Wright...................6......Did a decent job when he was on. DaSilva..................7....Played well but his final ball wasn't the best. Pack.....................5.....Running in treacle from the start and his passing was poor. Brownhill.............5......If not for his goal wouldn't have known he was playing. Smith..................5.....So unlucky with injury again but could tell he'd been out for a while Weimann............6....Just never stops running and making space for players, unlucky to come off. Diedhiou.............5.....Service to him today wasn't great but his first touch was poor. Walsh.................6...Always looking to play on the front foot and thought he did ok after a long time out. Eliasson............6... For that one cross alone, would liked him to have started today. Taylor...............4....Waste of a last sub we didn't need a chaser we needed someone to unlock their defence.

Ha ha - let's all blame Pack - as a team we were poor today; crossing especially was poor from all over (apart from the one for the goal). It was almost as if the pressure of the "occasion" got to the team! Still in the mix! COYR!

    I’d rather have Bannon.

You haven’t got much of a clue about football, have you? I see you’re a newbie but not off to a great start with a crappy post like this..............

Walsh reminds me of Tins with his range of passing. Said to Keepersball that him and Eliason will be huge players for us next season.

Think Korey was high although i just saw it as a 50-50 ball. No idea why idiots were booing the Reading bloke.

I would happily pay £103 to watch City in the champions league semi final.

League One 12th League One 1st Championship 18th Championship 17th Championship 11th Championship 7th ...And all while working with a moderate budget. Let me know when you spot the trend. Is that the trajectory of a club “knocking it down before we get anywhere”? The facts show that any “knocking down” we have done in the past six years has brought about an improvement in League position the following year.

His wife has just had a baby less than a week ago, even the most organised find a newborn’s demands can affect just about everything, sleep included. But saying that he was well off today I agree, probably would have been subbed if not for the fact we lost Korey. I don’t think the plan was for him to play all game somehow.
  28. 1 point
Dont be daft and speak what you do not clearly know . Its a red card regardless if he goes off injured. it wasnt a red card. It was simply a free kick for the opposition. Cant wait to see him and walsh boss it next season. Good bye useless pack

Was watching the match with some neutrals and they all thought it was definite red for Smith, nearly studded the Reading player in the face.

Taylor was shoved in the back when in the area and going for a header. I actually saw the ref move his whistle to his lips. The ball landed with a city player and play continued. 2 minutes later Reading got a freekick when Brownhill nudged a player in the back going for a header.

Known as "Brad" in the dressing room no doubt If he isn't, he should be. Nothing like a bit of irony
  32. 1 point
I'm not blaming him, but it's a fact that he didn't gave us 5-6 clear FK. And a FK can become a good chance, especially in a difficult game.

Ajax are having a great season because they’ve finally learned that you need older more experienced players alongside your talented youngsters. I like how we are approaching our task but really don’t see how bringing proven quality, like Gayle , is going to be a bad thing. The widely reported effect on existing players finding more quality in their dressing room is positive.
  40. 1 point
Yeah you're right they have, so second most (joint) conceded for Villa, my mistake. I think the point still stands though.

Well, we can’t stand losing. Be walking on the moon with a win though.

Simple case of supply and demand. If people are prepared to pay silly prices, then suppliers will charge silly prices. If there is a downturn and people can't afford or won't pay then suppliers will have to reduce prices. Same with TV rights. I know a lot of people who would like to have Sky and BT Sports, but won't pay the prices they demand. As prices continue to rise, subscribers fall and the TV companies will not pay so much for the broadcasting rights. Those who treat their customers as cash cows eventually fail.

Interested as to whether Reading will travel on the day or have travelled down the night before. Probably disrupts their pre-game routing for a day if they travel on the day despite it being just 90 minute drive given the early start, due to players being up earlier than they would be, match day food etc.

People love a moan. I've been away for a week and thought I would come on to the forum to get hyped up for tomorrow.... oh, no, the biggest and hottest topic isn't how well our playoff placed team is, nope, its Easter Egg gate. Typical City.... Only happy when we have something to moan about. P.s the irony of this post isn't lost on me.

Qualified every tournament in 74 to 90, which is more than we can say. Last featured in 1998, 20 years after the cup you recall. Stop parading your ignorance of football.
