Hi guys. Today is a big day for us like all 5 remaining fixtures. Boro has a pretty easy game and we can not lose points against bottom teams like we did with Ipswich and Wigan. Those points are crucial. I don't know if I can find a stream but i will be around here all game. Hoping for a clean first half with one or two goals. I really want an easy final game, my heart can not take it anymore. Good luck to our lads and let's make it !!! Love from Bucharest !!

Mihai just popped in to see the pre match news Assuming you are totally genuine, (which you appear to be ) If we were to make the PO Final I will pay for your flight from Bucharest Im sure between us we can make sure you have a ticket too Keep the faith, and big respect

Some people on this thread are hilarious. Came on and moved the ball well, had a decent long ranged shot first half, few nice crosses and did a job defensively. Was he a amazing? No. But what do you expect from someone who hasn’t played in months and hasn’t had a run of games in a city shirt. The kid clearly has ability just needs some experience at this level.

When you have marlon pack and diediou in your team what do you expect. Worst 5.2million ever spent. But we dont splash cash so we have had to stick with him. IIll bet £50 in pints or cash with anyone pack wont be about come december next year. Walsh and smith and even morrell a start soaking up the games

Lee Johnson says it’s time to be brave and then out of 10 outfield players he picks 7 defenders or defensive minded players. Reading did a job on us with their 5 man defence and leaving 2 up top to occupy our three centre backs. No gaps between the lines meant we had to get behind. Who can play a ball behind? Walsh and Palmer. Neither started Who can make runs in behind? Weimann who was constantly ignored and Taylor who was on the bench. if we had played 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 then we could have overlapped the wings and created more chances. We created nearly nothing second half. So frustrating today and against Wigan. Positive mentions for Elliason, Weimann and Dasilva Big negatives for Pack and Hunt. Really poor. Especially Pack. He has gone backwards massively over the last few months. Great career at City but either time to move him on or have his as a back up. Looks slow nowadays, poor on the ball and generally offers little

    Strongly disagree.

For me....my personal issue is with the arrogance of their ******* fans. Same for the Villa fans Before social media we never had to really experience their arrogance....now it's thrown in everyone's faces on a weekly basis City aside....I'll personally take immense pleasure if both teams bottle it again this year

We may moan about giving up sixth place to Boro', but spare a thought for Leeds United. They lost to 2-1 to Wigan, despite going ahead and playing against 10 men for 76 minutes. And to add insult to injury they've lost their automatic promotion spot to Sheffield United. So, please join me in a spontaneous show of emotion for our fellow fans from West Yorkshire...

It was actually Korey that went in high I thought? Was the landing that looked rough to me; knee almost looked like it buckled underneath him

Because it was a clear bloody red card.
  13. 10 points
It was a high challenge from Korey which would of resulted in a red card if he didn’t go down injured. Wishing him a speedy recovery but another player to release this summer due being injury prone.

The bloke needs a rest. Give him a bit of time to spend with his family, and start Walsh, with Morrell coming off the bench. His forward balls were poor at best, he seemed to be a yard off the pace, and ultimately just didn't produce what we know he can do. I'm not really in the position to speculate why this has happened, but the signs are there for us all to see when he takes to the pitch. I know there's been a few calls on here to sell him, and I don't agree with that. I do worry however that Johnson is overworking him and as a result we seem to be very wasteful in the final third. Obviously this isn't all Marlon's fault but he's definitely a key driver of this. Overall Marlon has been a great player for this club but recently he just hasn't been there. Really poor at Villa with his discipline and wastefulness. Started every league game this season and very obviously needs a rest. Morrell on BCTV was chirping a lot that he hasn't had enough playing time (in a good humoured and tactful fashion). We should give it to him.

I’m always amazed that Pack is the first to be lambasted. Lets take the first half today. I thought it was his most energetic performance for a long time. He saw plenty of the ball, recycled it well, looked numerous times for his little reverse ball into the forwards, won numerous tackles and generally had a pretty imperious first half and was probably the most outstanding player of that 45 mins on both teams. He made one overhit pass on about 42 mins and the crowd went nuts on him (well certainly around me they did anyway). However, 2nd half he looked tired and it was a contrast to his first 45. So I can see why he gets a little bit of stick but over the course of the 90 mins he was far from our weakest link. Hunt was terrible. Da Silva likewise. Both had awful delivery when in great positions today. Brownhill was pretty non-existent aside from the goal. Diedhiou offered nowt. Weimann ran about lots but produced nothing of quality. But of course, it’s always Pack who gets the blame, despite doing everything very well in the first half.

what nonsense Fam has been a huge factor in getting us to challenging for the play-offs - tireless and makes space for others. He was not the problem today it was the quality of our crossing and fiddling on the edge of the box when we should have shot. A game we bossed final ball all that was missing.
  17. 9 points
I thought he was pretty crap.

Mention for the ref today; what a contrast to the clown last week. Got most things right, always in control, kept the game flowing, and no cards, I think. Todays game was no less physical than last week, if anything more hard challenges etc, but he didn't feel the need to pull out the card every 2 minutes.

All the loanees will go including Kalas, plus anyone else who will get a few bob in; We will then re-build and "go again" we must also give them much time to gel and the xmas window will also be needed to fine tune things. We will not bring in any championship quality for those positions that we have been desperate to fill for many seasons now; we will also no doubt go down the loan road and repeat over the coming seasons again and again, building for the future but knocking it down before we get anywhere. This season again will show we lack the ambition to make a forward move when in a great position, just like last season. I know many have hope still, but its not reality.

WOW ! You know what ? You made me have gosebumps with your message. That would be one of my best days in my life and for sure it would mean so much. Thank you so much for your message ! I have faith, I always have even if sometimes I get angry and I may say stupid things. I wake up next morning and my faith is is back. Let's have a great day !!!

Why on earth was he not brought on today? That was a game that was crying out for a bit of magic and he certainly should have come on instead of Taylor if not before then.

Our away form is great Been like it all season Why do the coaches know how to do this It is obvious we are playing right away
  26. 6 points
Time to either sell him or have him as back up where he plays 12-15 games a season
  27. 6 points
Agree but I wouldn't put it down to tiredness. He's always very slow. I'm still struggling to see this brilliant passer of the ball I keep reading about on here.

The ref didn’t force our players to overhit every pass and every cross

I don’t think SL has ever really refused to back LJ, but LJ knows SL’s limits and hasn’t asked for what he knows he won’t get. However it looks like LJ will have delivered what he was told to, to finish in a higher position than we did last season, after selling three first team regulars as we know. I think LJ will now go to SL and say he has secured decent loan players this season and recruited well. If the remit next year is again to finish higher than this year ( I think we will be 7th or 8th this season) then LJ has every right to expect to bring in ready made quality, which probably means as big of an investment as we’ve ever made, which against many of the teams we count as rivals isn’t much. Saying that teams like Preston are only two wins behind us and have spent almost nothing I don’t think.

Actually I feel sorry for both sides today, as they had to endure bewildered referee impersonator...............come on down Scott Duncan. How many red cards is that now Scott?
  32. 5 points
Welcome to our forum Scott Duncan..........but I think we've heard enough from you already this season?
  33. 5 points
    Your post is a moron

I've only seen it once from the Dolman, and my first thought was that the challenge was reckless and that Korey would be lucky to avoid a red. Hopefully the replay will shed a bit more light on things.
  35. 5 points
He had a poor game today. But for most of the season he's been pretty good, in a side firmly in the playoff hunt. I'm only mentioning this because his improvement with us generally goes unnoticed. He joined from Cheltenham for 75k and has been a key* player for 90+% of the time. *As in consistently selected for the starting XI regardless of manager and formation.

Thought the game screamed out for kasey palmer against a team with two banks of four someone who could carry the ball through the middle and break their ranks instead of passing across the pitch from side to side ending up with a floated cross into the box where a six foot six goalkeepers waiting along with seven six foot plus defenders mind boggling tactics
  37. 5 points
Amazing how people can make such predictions when we are 2 points clear of 7th having played the same number of games...
  38. 5 points
Am I the only person who thought Brownhill had a shocker outside of the goal?
  39. 5 points
If we stay down, we need another centre mid, attacking midfielder and striker. Weird how people have been singing hunts praises recently, one poor result and he's now not good enough for the championship...
  40. 5 points
Was poor today. He would have been my last sub. Palmer on Pack off but I’d also have brought Palmer on for Korey. Though was happy to see Walsh again.
  41. 5 points
We were in for Assombalonga and Hogan
  42. 5 points
Dear me. So you are actually denying any reasonable requirement for the red button, that some supporters don’t live in Bristol, in fact might live all over the world, and might not legitimately be able to make the game?
  43. 5 points
No goalkeeper on the bench, to much gambling i think. We have 7 players on the bench and only 3 can play. Can not understand why we are taking the risk.

11th most expensive first XI. Surprised Leeds first team is so cheap
  46. 4 points
He's more than adequate for this level. Problem is the more simple minded among the fans think the only part of a forwards game is scoring goals. For clarity Diedhiou didn't have a great game today. But he has shown his ability to bring other players into play, and is a solid basis to build an attack on.
  47. 4 points
Simply put It's the type of team we are: defensively sound but a bit lacking in flair / scorers. We get more space away as teams attack us more.
  48. 4 points
He'll have to, otherwise we'll likely go straight back down.
  49. 4 points
I reckon LJ has done enough this season to really put us in a good position to get those 3 or 4 difference maker players. Striker, creative midfielder, right back and keeper. The profile of our club has never been higher than it has in the last few years. Perhaps now we can get these types of players to buy into Bristol City
  50. 4 points
Still think it’s predominantly about payers rather than formations. If our players pay well, and win their battles, we will ultimately get more results than not. West Brom exposes our 4222 when they went 352/343 second half. Reading started 352 today and we in effect matched them. We actually broke them down when we passed the ball quickly first half, we just didn’t do it often enough. Either side of Korey’s injury we got in behind them 4 times by spinning them high up the pitch. Too many par performances, nobody really taking the game by the scruff of the neck, or taking responsibility. ‘We needed one or two on their A-games today....they weren’t.
