  1. Yes, they have to show they will be able to fulfil their fixtures. Mind you, this is the EFL, a note from their Mum will probably do.

  2. Today marks 50 years since we landed on the moon. To commemorate this I thought I’d share a fact. Rover’s record breaking signing of Andy Tilson is closer to the date of the moon landing then it is to the present day.

  5. Inevitably! "Good to be playing against Bristol Rovers today, on my way down. Proper club #brfc are, #gasheads are proper top notch folk. As for #BristolCity...their fans are proper sad, strange folks desperate to relegate us a couple of years ago. Ashton Gate smells like poo as well." mangogas15 Read more: http://gasheads.org/thread/8308/bcfc-sellout#ixzz5uRWPJnMX

  7. Follow on (not seen the score since tea so dunno but am guessing) now looks highly unlikely but I wouldn't have been so sure- given the heat and humidity Tuesday- wear them down in the field in the hot sun and stick them in- if we're not bowled out due to a deteriorating pitch- for somewhere for maybe a tricky 8-10 overs at the end. Danger when its hot is bowlers run ragged, run ragged in the field then it's your side who has that tricky 8-10 overs at the end and maybe a collapse- pitches don't often deteriorate in the same way as the past but maybe it's different atm.

  8. Ok Monkeh, no need to shout!? my point is that this is not a unique situation. Football is unique in that far more tolerance is given to "companies"in this situation. A retailer would now be closed and history. A way out will be found even if Bolton have to take the pain of several steps backwards.

  9. Yes, but what would Rovers want with a stand that size..?! Are they available in mini versions, preferable with a canvas roof, otherwise it would just look odd.

  11. I’ve heard some of them spout that they took 50k to that match ? Totally deluded. Middle tier was closed. 40-42k at a push after they were given a few thousand extra tickets. Somewhere between 12-15k of those ‘loyal n true’ went missing for their PO Final in 2015. Strange.

  12. The more sedate side, during what is mainly 20/20 season. Bit of a slow start and at times it was a dicy one, but at the end of Day 1 Gloucestershire 339/7 v Worcestershire- not bad! This is our game in hand and we must make it count. Outground so scoring can be quick but at Cheltenham I'm not so sure it's always the case.

  13. I didn't grow up. "rush backs" is how I remember it. Anyone could be the goalie but the person nearest the jumpers was the goalie. That is, you couldn't randomly decide to use your hands just because... Never heard of "drop back" goalies.

  14. No amount of money can justify visiting that desolate, barren wasteland devoid of atmosphere. The moon landings on the other hand were worth every last cent......

  15. Wow Another stat I enjoy is that when Bristol Rovers were last above us in the league, Bill Clinton was US president!

  19. Ah the old 0-3-2 formation with dual keepers. Not seen that one in years.
