Do you reckon we could have ONE topic on women’s football without it turning sexist and misogynistic??8 points
-
No but there has been comments by female members on otib about male footballers looks etc. Surely that’s the same thing?6 points

And women can't look after themselves from a reasonably innocent message on an online forum, got it. Next time you see someone calling one of the male players attractive or worth the entry price alone I'll expect to see you telling that person the same. Calm down, that's somebody's son, nothing else.3 points
-
Surely it’s ok for people to think someone’s attractive? Are you telling me no women see any male footballers and think they are attractive?3 points

The moron still trying to defend himself, light hearted comment, no malice intended, thinks it possibly may be offensive, then compares it to City the fans who made some stickers ffs!! Even goes onto say he’s suffered from depression himself, well if you even suffered the slightest bit yourself you wouldn’t even dream of making such vile, lowest of the low comments like you did. Absolute fvck1ng creature.2 points

No, that’s just one person. That’s unfair to tarnish all their fans for one idiots comment.2 points

Thankfully as Marcus said himself during the cricket commentary earlier, he doesn't do social media so hopefully won't get to hear any of this hateful bile.2 points

Apparently it was ‘a joke in poor taste’ Mental health is never a joke and never should be, I don’t know about Marcus’ story but that’s really sad if they think they can make a joke out of it2 points

Hilarious. Just shown the Rovers ground on the cricket, virtually empty. Amusing lack of knowledge by the commentator.2 points

Do you think they are more interested in conservatories and patio design, I do.2 points

Girls league is on Sundays. My daughter plays for the same team as Judda's so they'll be able to watch. Saturdays make much more sense than Sundays...2 points

My daughter plays for Ashton Girls. I'm gonna suggest moving training time and all the girls getting tickets. Great bonding for them too...2 points

According to some on here the Swansea stuff was just banter and no harm done. Just goes to show doesn’t it. Hope your daughter is ok mate and that the morons don’t put her off.2 points
-
Me and my daughter will be going. She's an 11 year old, season ticket holder of 4 years, but got scared at the Swansea game nonsense and has panic attacks now and struggling to get back... could be perfect for her. ?️?2 points

Just reading about the 6 year old who has just finished his chemo in his fight against a brain tumour. Brum fans applauding the Robin's fans for their superb reaction to him walking round the pitch. Someone suggested making him a guest of honour on the return leg which is on Friday 7th Feb.. Great idea. Still remembering young Lowery, Defoes friend who left us not to long ago. COYRs.1 point

I was going to say that. Indeed, don't be too hard on TrescoTHICK, he might want to kill himself again. What a vile thing to say. Unbelievable1 point

Hey, let them have the imaginary extra 15% - and bask in the glory of that still only giving them 8k home supporters for the first home game of the season..!1 point

Cheers. She'll be ok in life, I'm sure. Just hope we can get back to watching games together again....1 point

I’m pretty sure these male footballers can look after themselves and not have to worry about old women taking a fancy to them.1 point

Interesting that the Vixens are going to play at the Gate again - but at three o'clock on Saturday it will naturally clash with the many other local games at that time. Surely some girls or their family members will be playing at the same time and so force a decision to be made. But I take this as a sign that the Women's game is ready to carve a niche out for itself - a bold and positive move.1 point

It’s a shame. Although things have improved massively in recent years this kind of Neanderthal behaviour still haunts us. I hope she overcomes it. Kids change a lot as they grow older. It’s a shame some old Skool prat’s don’t.......1 point

In fairness I get the tribal shit. It's inbuilt from caveman days. No one intends to scar an already anxious child, they get caught up in a moment. It's just gutting for me and her... she'll recover but it'll be months or possibly years... hopefully the former!1 point

Went to 70% of games last season. Along with programme a drink and a pie as it was free for season ticket holders. now £4 a ticket i wont be bovvering.1 point

https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/city-women-open-season-at-ashton-gate/ Strikes me as a good opportunity to develop their fan base. Tickets are competitively priced, although all kids going free with a paying adult might have been a nice gesture. But I guess the numbers need to add up somehow.1 point

As a big Glos fan, not so sure that we could have squeezed M'sex enough in the last few balls, especially with Malan still there and they had plenty of batting if required, so will have to take that one. We need to beat Hants on Tuesday in Bristol (going to that one) and then see how things unfold in the 2 local derbies. We are suffering big time with Michael Klinger's lack of batting form and Benny Howell's injury could be a problem for us. My prediction is that we have no chance of a top 2 (home tie) finish but could get into the quarter finals, but worried that we might miss out on our inferior run rate. Still all to play for though!1 point

Here's a selection of clubs and where they restarted: Chester - 8th tier Newport - 9th tier The real Wimbledon :) - 9th tier Aldershot - 9th tier So they might end up in the North West Counties Football League I've always had a soft spot for Bolton since they were our opponents in my first City game (1977/78 4-1 city) and were the 1986 Freight Rover Trophy runners up (can't remember who won that one). Be sad to see them go, and what a slow painful death if it does happen.1 point
