  1. Not me I'm afraid. A very dear friend died yesterday, one of I have been meeting up with at Rovers for 30 years or so, the way he was in the past week means it really was a happy release. I will admit to being extra pleased that we won and you lost yesterday, he was a big character and going to games will never quite be the same again. He was very loud, a bit of a pain and very funny. He hated the colour red & everything about City with a passion! I will be doing my bit to be a bit more insulting to you lot in his honour from now on

  2. A very stupid joke, yes. But many of you are perfect examples of the modern disease that is chucking your toys out of the pram in front of your keyboards. There are people in YOUR street barely able to feed their kids, suffering depression without friends and family, unable to pay their bills. They are far more deserving of your disgust and intolerance of their plight. Invest your energy in helping them perhaps?

  3. It's 2909 more than you will get in this competition all season :)

  4. Most of the theories so far have been of pilot error so in a strange way this would come as a small relief to the pilots family

  5. It also means that they were both unconscious long before they crashed? A small crumb of comfort for their families in what is a terrible tragedy.

  6. Hate to say I just see this as harmless banter Am sure it will go backwards and forwards all season

  7. To be fair he’s apologised for it. I’m sure most of us have said or written something in the past without thinking about it first.

  8. Of the six Rovers' group companies: Filton Avenue Guarantee Company was dissolved via compulsory strike off for not filing accounts a couple of months ago https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/06912935/filing-history Filton Avenue Development Company has just been dissolved via compulsory strike off for not filing accounts https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/06828864/filing-history The Memorial Stadium Development Company has just been dissolved via compulsory strike off for not filing accounts https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/06829025/filing-history Leaving: Bristol Rovers 1883 - Holding Co Memeorial Stdium Company - Ground owner Bristol Rovers FC - Football club Which is the same structure that we have; all shares are owned in the holding co which in turn owns the club and ground separately. This could be interpreted as tidying the group structure with the total assets of all three dormant companies being just £200; though there are far better ways to go about it than failing to file accounts and being struck off. However... These companies are just what you set up when you are undertaking a major develpment project, I guess they were in place for the UWE, so that it is in a separate company so that if everything goes wrong then only that company goes and not the group (assuming no parent company guarantees). There is nothing shady in this; it's standard practice for development projects. And yet: WAQ has said that the fruit market site is so good to go that he expects a finished development there in two years. Now obviously he has got a bit carried away there but if you are seriously intending to go into a big development project then the very first thing that you do is set up new companies to take the risk. Exactly such companies that have just been allowed to be dissolved. With the inference being drawn: That whether or not the fruit market site is a runner for a new stadium it will be, like the Colony "training ground", a Dwane Sports asset and not the property of Bristol Rovers. I would suggest monitoring the filings and the setting up of any associate companies of these two companies for any changes: DWANE DEVELOPMENTS UK LIMITED Company number 11253528 https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/11253528/filing-history WIZTEK LIMITED Company number 10664221 https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/10664221/filing-history Edit: @bert tann any expansion? You often have an inside track.

  9. Invest my energy in being there for people when I know about it and calling out ***** who think making jokes about suicide is ok. Nobody in my street barely able to feed their kids btw but I totally get your point, its just that you can do both is my point.

  10. No, that’s just one person. That’s unfair to tarnish all their fans for one idiots comment.

  11. I was going to say that. Indeed, don't be too hard on TrescoTHICK, he might want to kill himself again. What a vile thing to say. Unbelievable

  12. Just reading about the 6 year old who has just finished his chemo in his fight against a brain tumour. Brum fans applauding the Robin's fans for their superb reaction to him walking round the pitch. Someone suggested making him a guest of honour on the return leg which is on Friday 7th Feb.. Great idea. Still remembering young Lowery, Defoes friend who left us not to long ago. COYRs.

  13. It happens, probably a gasket or seal leaking in the exhaust, then another seal, in the heater system or fire bulkhead leaking.

  14. Probably more accurate would be a minor fault, but with significant and fatal consequences.

  16. That sounds highly significant. From memory, the weather was really awful that night so the pilot and passenger probably kept ventilation to a minimum. Any death is a tragedy but if the evidence identifies a problem that was avoidable, it must be even more heartbreaking for both families.

  18. Yet in it's previous popular era, about 100 years ago, it was well known and accepted that the sometimes large crowds women's football attracted were mostly there for that very reason. In those days even the flash of a lady's ankle was rare so to see so much female flesh on display was a big attraction to the mainly male crowds. It was no secret and not thought of as in any way unhealthy or strange, quite the opposite. That's changed these days, of course. With women less covered up in daily life that aspect of women's football is less of an attraction for men, hence the women's game is mostly geared towards attracting female fans with coach loads of tickets given free to girl's schools etc.

  26. Well said. Those users probably the small man syndrome type anyway so feel the need to pipe up. If it was on here it would be deleted and the user/s banned immediately. Feel sorry for the good gasheads who have to associate with these bellends.

  27. The moron still trying to defend himself, light hearted comment, no malice intended, thinks it possibly may be offensive, then compares it to City the fans who made some stickers ffs!! Even goes onto say he’s suffered from depression himself, well if you even suffered the slightest bit yourself you wouldn’t even dream of making such vile, lowest of the low comments like you did. Absolute fvck1ng creature.

  28. Important win tonight but they should really have knocked those off in some overs fewer to up the RR. 100- 1 from 11 should have been 140 from 15 max not 18

  30. How humiliating for an established league club to be turned over so convincingly, by relative newcomers..!

  31. You’d think it would be a sell out there tonight. I thought they’d all be celebrating reaching the 1st round of the league cup.

  32. One off but I know there was talk of a back to back men's and women's game too... don't know whether it will happen though...

  36. Me and my daughter will be going. She's an 11 year old, season ticket holder of 4 years, but got scared at the Swansea game nonsense and has panic attacks now and struggling to get back... could be perfect for her. ?️?
