I was under the impression that City had a decent relationship with Man City rather than United largely on the fact that LJ worked closely with City when he was at Oldham. Today was the first I’ve heard of a relationship with Man United What the MA interview did as well was to show just how well run and professional the club has become. The days of well meaning amateurs running the club are long gone - thankfully. These days it’s run along highly professional lines and the benefits of this approach are beginning to show. Imv its all down to one man - SL. His vision and business acumen to employ the right people in the right positions has been a stroke of genius. Bristol City are sooo fortunate to have him as our owner.

Yes, of course... Some footballers drink driving and crashing their car is exactly the same as some innocent football fans being illegally detained whilst definitely not under the influence of alcohol.

I think the EFL need to set an example and make a pints deduction from Derby County.

I’m fairly certain Keogh was packed off by GJ a for his drinking habits with Nobes..

Dear football, I always thought I knew you, thought I understood our relationship. I mean I knew it was a one way thing. I get everything from you, and give very little back. But last night I truly understood you. Life is good, I'm happy in life, but sometimes there are so many stresses, little things from all angles, you get caught up in them, with not enough release. Last night I came to understand you, for one hour I played you. In that hour, I thought of nothing else but you. Getting the ball, moving the ball, the why do I have to mark the cristianó Messi on the pitch, how is it possible I've hit that 700000 yards wide? Why are you shooting from th...... Nice goal. We came off having won 6-5, got to be honest I had no idea. But I do know I came off feeling a new person. A break from my own thoughts. A break. perspective. Adrenaline. Reinvigoration. Thank you football, Never change.

I genuinely was beginning to think you were just winding fellow fans up on purpose to provoke a reaction but I sadly am beginning to realise that you are so wrapped up in believing that everything about this case/ city fans travelling away are related to alcohol intake and abuse. For the last time none of the 10 fans were guilt of any offence none were risk supporters alcohol was not a contributing factor to this case all 10 are innocent fans of bcfc just like you and every other fan on this site ( except miah obviously) As a police officer on this site I have had tricky conversations with people on here, yet I can still find it in myself to apologise when I get things wrong ( and have done) my personal view is that what you previously wrote about those fans was out of order and based on no facts just assumptions . You owe them an apology , not me, not the rest of the fans on here but those you are continuing to question .

Interesting use of the word 'quantum'. I like the bloke. The buzzwords don't bother me as he does his job well.

Had a look at the Derby forum, doesn't make for great reading. A lot of them are beyond angry. A few witty posts in amongst the sea of condemnation over there, with one speculating that 'at least he managed to hit the post this time, rather than putting it wide'.

Sick of people getting offended on behalf of others. PC will be the death of this World. Good bit of banter between him and his best mate who clearly finds it amusing. It's only racist if it's intended to offend and hurt that person.

It's not just the players that need to have the right DNA. Heard a discussion on the radio about Man U's plight and eventually the "blame"seemed to be directed at Woodward. The comment was made that while Woodward was commercially very successful for Man U - producing huge revenues - he is not a football man and this was borne out in the transfer business this summer. I think we are lucky in that MA is not only proving commercially successful for the club, but that he seems to understand the club and the football side of the business and his relationship with the other key people in the club appears to be very strong. It could well be that MA is as integral to the club's success as is LJ.

Good interview that. I'm certainly warming to our CEO and he seems to be far more 'in touch' than he used to be plus not too many 'buzz' words. Thanks for posting.

Press conferences with Macca really frustrate me as he doesn’t say anything new ... LJ is the only one who should do these as he can answer questions much more fully, and it would mean Macca wouldn’t have to dodge questions we really want answered.

Mason Bennett attended a Drinkaware event on the same day. Derby have deleted the page detailing this from their website, but if you Google "Mason Bennett Drinkaware" you will see the page existed.

All joking aside, something has to be done about fixtures. Usually crap weather at the begining and crap weather at the end, just shows where their priorities lie !

It's a positive interview. The more insightful and informative the info shared by the Club, to the fan base, the better understanding they have of where we are heading...and how we are trying to achieve progress. That leads to a more supportive fanbase and less over reactions. Knowledge is power. They don't need to give up 'secrets' but interviews like this benefit everyone.

Am I missing the joke ? because we have definitely played Newport County.

I don't see it as much of an issue, food chain and all that. Every player we own, are only here because other bigger clubs don't currently want them. It is what it is, if players want to progress their careers and then move in to bigger clubs then they have to perform for us and if they do that ultimately we benefit.

Ok, so when does Diedhiou take the fall for this & get banned for being nowhere near the incident? At the very least the FA must ban him for 23 games for having been in Derby in the last 3 months! Guilty by association & all that! On a serious note, I hope they throw the book at both of them but fully expect them to get a fine that isn’t in line with their vast salaries & a ban that won’t really matter because they’ll just employ drivers! Unlikely that they will of learnt anything from this.

'Despite being an absolute dump' Why do supporters always have to try and start a row? It might be true but it's not your fault where you are born. The film 'Blinded by the Light' was based there and it was a half-decent movie. And they're a well supported side if you take the average crowd/population statistic. Using that figure, Burnley are the best supported side in England along with Shrewsbury. Great Bristol with a 750k population and combined attendances of 35k comes out very badly. Went to Luton many decades ago before that daft low level stand with its executive boxes and little else ... but as posters have said, a good old-fashioned ground. And supporters will no doubt (predictably) start a row with some sort of chant about them being just a 'small town in Asia' ... a reflection of the average football 'supporter's' IQ.

Same. Definitely can’t recall us playing Spurs. I’m sure a Spurs friendly in the 90’s would’ve attracted me to the game as I have a spurs supporting mate, and we definitely didn’t go to this.

He mentioned the comprehensive data dashboard, that is used to plot all available info, there’s no no doubt in my mind that OTIB is a central part of that dashboard! I very much enjoyed the interview.

What happened tho 86 was when LJ sated that COD had not signed the terms agreed verbally a load on here immediately made the mistake of jumping on ‘terms’ as money - wages , and decided that he had demanded more money , of which there was in fact zero indication from LJ Contracts now contain a whole host of clauses and options and conditions for either party and what this is what COD appears to have alleged too

Can’t remember Raheem Sterling ever saying Zinchenko looks like the Milky Bar kid tbh but he did make the Tweet below which imo is no different to Bernardo Silva’s. Agree Silva should of kept it private but it’s been blown way out of proportion and now the usual suspects screaming Racism. This world and especially the UK has gone PC mad, can’t say shit nowadays without causing offence to someone.

Saw this lad play for forest green v Colchester a couple of weeks ago. Tinnion was up there watching as well as we saw him coming away afterwards. Looks a player. One of forest greens best players on the day. They play some tidy football under mark cooper so a good choice of club for his development.

Thank you for this photo. I used to be a Luton Town fan up until 1977 when we moved back to Bristol. The Oak Road in my day was the home end. In the old first division days my dad had to pay 90 pence through those turnstiles. I was charged a scandalous 45 pence. Regarding the small stand that runs along the side of the pitch, it used to be called the Bobbers Stand (named after the cost to get in ie 5 pence in old money).

I saw it, and John Barnes was spot on. Skysports tried hard to make him look like he was in the wrong (talk about patronising). It's HIS opinion ffs, so well said JB for me. Let's come down hard on racism when it IS RACISM please, and then I'm 100% with them.
