Probably got the idea from The Gas - they've been pretty much cashless for years.. !

Bristol Sport should also be consulting organisations that support individuals. I work for a charity that supports vulnerable individuals in the community. Bristol Sport decided to alter the way they sold tickets and put their services on line. An individual I supported could not use on line services, his disability prevented him doing so. I pointed this out to Bristol Sport and the response suggested that individuals should take over and act on his behalf, creating membership on his behalf and making the payments - The suggestion contravened data protection and normal working guidelines = In my working environment it would be a gross misconduct offence. The individual no longer attends Ashton Gate and has lost the interest in attending at all. A problem with cashless services is that they are frequently not person centred. They benefit the service not the consumer (fan).

There was a discussion about this last year… Some kids don't have cards/phones to pay for things, and some people like using cash.

Who knows, could come back in January, and be our club-developed player. Got to get minutes if that happens though. Wouldn’t surprise me if the odd Champ team doesn’t come in during the winter window to see if they can prise him away from Lincoln for the second half of the season. Showed very high level of consistency for Lincoln, in the vote for MOTM virtually every game. And those who’ve not seen much of him can’t fail to have been impressed by how easily he slotted into the Wales midfield. Great faith by Giggs to select him last night. Would’ve been easy to play Ampadu, the bigger name of the two of them...but I think he knew that Joe’s discipline was needed with Ramsey but also allow Allen to get forward.

Post No. 92 on a thread about paying by card and Godwin's Law is invoked. Bravo.

I get that some people like using cash but to blindly assume that "older people" won't be able to cope is a tad OTT and a ridiculous assumption to make!

At 62 I probably fall into the older generation category. I dislike cashless, not because I don't understand or have problems using cards, Ive had them for decades, but simply that I know where I am with cash. My preference has always been to remove cash from an ATM and then use cash from my wallet to make payments. I don't get lost with what I'm spending as if its not I'm my wallet I can't spend it. I won't go into a cashless pub so I'll just have tp spend more in the Coopers.

And so they should because its discriminatory. It goes against best practice as advised in valuing me etc. Best practice for those with disabilities. There should always be alternatives.

I watched nearly every game via Robins TV or streams this season and determined to keep this habit Much more fun than Serie A games were not to mention the intensity of the games.

He's taken his time to grow up into adult football. That is a fact and not meant in anyway as a derogatory comment. Not everyone can be a regular first teamer as someone like Gerry Gow. His performances for Lincoln and Wales show he is now ready to compete for a first team place. January would be good but we can wait until August.

Sums up what we all know about Tomlin, i.e. he’s a knob. Nice way to repay the manager that salvaged your career isn’t it.

So you just ignore the mess he always leaves a club?

I suppose it will get around the fact that half their bar staff seem incapable of working out change. Another life skill that will be no longer required in near future, along with spelling and basic arithmetic.

How was he a car crash at Chelsea the second time around? He won them the title! It only went pear shaped after the Eva Carneiro incident when the players stopped playing for him. And compared with what United had before (post Fergie) and have had since, Jose did a more than decent job at Old Trafford, finishing second above the golden boy Klopp, and winning the Europa League.

I shit you not I’ve found a Sag who actually talks reasonably normal! Can’t say the same for some of the responses from his fellow Sag’s though, they totally ignore everything he’s said except the part about SL being a tax dodger whilst trying to defend Dwane Sports Where's Dwane registered again remind me and how much do the AQ's pay the UK government in tax ? I think Lansdown's a smug f**ker but like it or not his business employed over 1,000 tax payers some of whom are no doubt gas, paid millions in business rates and I daresay he paid a few bob to HMRC himself. He should complain as should Bristol ratepayers if Rees spunks millions to help out what is supposed to be a commercial enterprise that is patently not supported by many Bristolians. We have hundreds of people sleeping rough and the worst public transport system of any major UK city. We also need more police on the streets and he could divert money in that direction. Redevelop St Philips by all means but blinkers off, what would 90% of Bristolians actually gain from a football stadium occupied by Rovers ? As for the Duke of Guernsey, also remember that everyone BUT BRFC was behind the world cup bid so he's hardly likely to feel warm towards us is he ? A few nimby's scuppered a perfectly reasonable stadium plan in Ashton Vale funded by private money so what do you think will happen in this instance? As for the comment before by HG about Rees electioneering, this is politiical suicide and he will be swept out of office anyway and may actually lose many of the new Bristolians who love him but hate football. Sorry and all that but its a ******* disgrace if it goes as some think it will. Then we have another who thinks everyone, including SL of course are against them. Yet here they are begging the council for help! Playing the victim he says how about your club, who have never had PP turned down by BCC btw actually pay for your stadium out of your own pockets instead of wanting everyone bar yourselves to pay for it! As for these SL theories and how he’s behind all of your failings, as if he’s the slightest bit concerned about your shitty little outfit competing with BCFC. I’d suggest you look closer to home (wherever the caravan is pitched this week) and get off your backsides and do something about it as to why your club is stuck in the 70’s with zero chance of progression instead of blaming every fooker bar yourselves. Agree with this. If the funding was not an issue to build the UWE then we should be in a position to build a stadium at a different location if the terms are favourable. The trouble is we are constantly playing the victim. Lansdown, the Media, the council are all against us http://gaschat.co.uk/thread/15297/radio-interview-marvin-rees?page=5

Assuming he still goes, someone’s getting snapped in training

Yep, it's hard to intervene when You have to just run and try to correct mistakes by Your teammates - and that is what he is forced to do mainly for the national team. It can be pretty annoying that halfway through attacks someone always loses the ball and You have to track back immediately. I'm glad he had this run off looked much sharper than 10 days ago so it can be very good for Saturday (and he didn't look tired at all, that's a positive too). I don't really like our national team mainly because nearly every single one of them thinks he's much better than in reality and not one single person has the balls to say that "You're dire my son". Those balls wasted in attacks - in Bristol City 2-3 passes and shot on goal. I stick to club football I think...

240 eh? The Leeds Utd of L1 once again shock everyone with their huge travelling army that follow them everywhere. I didn’t watch it but I can only assume that all talk after the game is how lucky Bromley are to be the latest National League club to find themselves financially secure for another year thanks to the Gas....

I see Morton getting another loan next season. He can't get in FGR team at the moment, though like you say it seems he has done well when given opportunities. Maybe another loan to FGR again next season, as I can't see them keeping hold of Adams in their midfield who looks a cracking player. They're a great team for Morton, as they relentlessly pass the ball from back to front. On Walsh, I think he has so much natural ability. It looks like he has mainly played as an out and out holding midfielder for Coventry in most games this season. From what I have seen, I think he's better a bit more advanced. Like we saw in that Stoke second half last season where he was giving and going in and around the opponents box. Running with the ball in tight spaces. He has so much potential imo.

It's not a new thing, I used to work in the casino industry and 15-20 years ago I trained staff to deal American Roulette and Blackjack, All the payouts were added up in the dealers heads and we had long established techniques to help with that aspect, but there was still some mental arithmetic involved. The younger the trainee, the less likely they were to have a basic grasp of maths.

I’m 5’11, 23 years old. Have a 9-5 job out the city centre and drive an eco friendly hatchback and I thought this was okay and didn’t notice the music. Oh and I dislike politics and all politicians. Why are we doing this?

Was his second spell at Chelsea a ‘car crash’ ? He won the premier league in 2015 for them, losing only three games all season. He also delivered a League Cup Final victory in 2015 after finishing third in the premier league in 2014 and getting to the semi final of the Champions League ..

Anyone travelling to work at the end of this week, or heading towards Ashton Gate on Saturday may want to double check their route as an open top bus tour leaves the memorial ground and heads throughout Bristol, to commemorate their monuments FA Cup run.

Agreed, I always want the home nations to win their games. Hat tricks for Morrell and Williams; consolation wonder goal from Nagy.
