I’ve posted this before, but I’m happy to re-iterate - I used to work with a guy who was from Liverpool, he was a die hard Tranmere Rovers fan. He moved down to Bristol to work for the Bristol Post (not Evening Post, so the ‘Evil Post’ jokes are still lame) - then he left them to join my company.... and the conversation obviously quickly turned to football, as it does. He told me, with no axe to grind, that every sports editorial meeting he was in at The Bristol Post made it clear that focusing on Bristol Rovers and ‘bigging them up’ was paramount and he said a reporter was even once sent hundreds of miles to cover the court case of one City fan who’d been arrested at an away game somewhere up North - just to get a negative story about us. And this was common apparently. As I said, he was from the North West of England, he had no axe to grind, he simply moved down here to further his journalistic career but he was shocked at the bias that was encouraged to favour the gas at editorial meetings, I know visiting gasheads on here will say that is BS, but that guy is a Tranmere Rovers fan, he has absolutely no reason to lie - he didn’t know anyone when he moved down and I have no reason to doubt him. He said when he worked at The Bristol Post there was a real emphasis on bigging up Rovers and discrediting City.... just reporting what he said ...

I see Coldplay did two live streamed gigs from Jordan yesterday to promote their new album. I fully expect a selfie of Wally with Chris Martin anytime soon holding up a g*s rag with Martin 9 on the back.

To add to that, last night was Brive first home defeat in 18 months. And even more impressively the first time they’ve failed to score at home since 1962! That is incredible

Purely because the EP editorial has been full of Rovers supporters for decades. They then recruit neutrals who have a bias for the underdog and write stories about City, regardless of whether true or not, because more people would read about city.

I just don't get it. Why would they "bat" for the wrong side. Surely ,if anything they should lean toward the larger fan base, sell more copy etc. Everyone loves a success story (well the press, anyway). It just seems a very poor business model, alienating the far larger readership.................no wonder the Post is failing !

They were only repeating what the fans were saying. Gasheads were so desperate to have their own version of Lansdown, as soon as they heard the Al Qadis were from the Middle East they took to Social Media (where the Post get most of their stories) and let their gobs and imaginations run wild. Bunch of planks, they were wrong again.

Imagine it at Anfield! I agree, I think Hearn has let Mundo down a bit since the Groves fight tbh, he should have been in far higher profile fights than this by now. I reckon Canelo is matchmade far too carefully by GBP to fight Mundo atm mate, even in Vegas. The Kovalev fight could be viewed as a bit of a cherry pick with Sergey faded and coming straight out of the Yarde fight, impressive though the win was (prohibitive rehydration clauses accepted).

Not making any excuses for the BP, it’s an amateur set up with ‘journalists’ who scan through LadBible on Facebook to find their latest scoops. Its throughly satisfying that both the Sags and the Post made themselves look like idiots.

No excuse though is it? Just some basic journalism and investigation would have corrected that, it took less than a week for our own forum users to do that. The annoying thing is that national outlets then took their lead from the BP and we’re making the same mistakes. @Bar BS3 has made the same point as I was typing.

But within a couple of days, city fans on here were questioning any proof of his level of wealth, after doing basic research. The kind of thing that journalists are supposed to do.
