  1. Yeah, would have been much more dignified to have stood up, clapped politely and left the ground in a quiet orderly fashion taking care not to disturb the neighbours... Tin Pot? ..FFS what are you on about? …..it's called joy and fun, rarely happens, rarely get the opportunity to experience it... I remember standing on the pitch with at least half a million other Reds at the Gate applauding and cheering a very proud Harry Dolman the night we secured promotion to Div One all those years ago - I was young then - and it's still a brilliant fond memory! For those young Shrews fans tod

  2. To be honest, if anything, I’ve kind of felt relieved at not having to put up with patronising fake interest from people who don’t usually give a toss about who we are playing, or being asked about tickets by people who think that their wanting to attend is doing us some kind of favour..! Yes I’d liked to have had a big glamour tie for all of us who “deserve” one - but really not that fussed. Maybe kidding myself, but that’s honestly how I feel about it.

  3. Klopp out. Can't beat Shrewsbury. No clue what he's doing. How come he can't get his players motivated? Has he lost the dressing room? Klopp out. /s

  6. Just thought I'd leave this here; Bristol Rugby average attendance so far this season - 19,591 Bristol City average attendance so far this season - 21,595 Bristol Rovers average attendance so far this season - 7,396 (before yesterdays pitiful effort) Booming in South Bristol. Bombing in North Bristol. Hello Pikeys (we know you are there) read 'em and weep

  7. The Romance of the FA Cup. No need to knock us, Liverpool or any player or manager. This is what football is about...good natured support and unadulterated happiness and pure joy. Only positive for football in general. This thread needs no agendas surely?

  8. Yeh... massive cauldron. They’ve been giving us so much to get up and get excited about recently!

  9. OK , can’t win them all and fair play Shrewsbury . just been watching BT sport and the shrews manager been on . Gutted we ain’t all getting up tomorrow ready to play the world champions . Haven’t thought about it until now . As they would say in blackadder. BUGGER

  10. Yes but Gasheads ASSURED us that when the Rugby moved to ‘Trashton’ the attendances would fall dramatically due to the Rugby clubs supporters loyalty to the football club that ‘saved’ them by stealing their home. Looks like another thing the thick bastards got massively wrong then...

  11. The thick as mince, ground stealing **** wits still haven't worked out that in having their board insider shaft Bristol Rugby and then, continually treating their lodgers as second class citizens, how much revenue they've lost. The disastrous on / off move when the Mem was going to be redeveloped in 2008 arguably cost Bristol their place in the top flight and through lost revenue we almost lost the club completely. We were all set to watch a season of rugby at Rodney Parade and season ticket sales fell through the floor.

  12. They're currently 6-0 down to Man Utd with half hour to go. They're singing and making noise as if they're 6-0 up. Fair play to them.

  13. Bit more than a draw for them today though... a comeback from a 2 goal deficit to earn a replay at Anfield when all match bar the second half of the second half and the weeks leading up to it you'd resigned yourselves to a resounding defeat to the best club side in the World. Then the realisation that you and your league one club are heading for a fabulous day out at Anfield as a reward its what dreams are made of for a little club like the Shrews... Theres no comparison between their achievement in seeing us off followed by the performance their lads gave them today and a run of the mill dra

  17. This is part of the problem the Fewers have yet to address. People have much higher expectations of a day out than sitting in a tent these days with a Ginsters and a fake Fanta. And given just what good value for money a rugby season ticket is, it's no surprise attendances are well up. If only they have treated the rugby club better when they were at the Mem....

  18. I know of a group of blokes who go to every home rugby game with their wives - all kitted out in the shirts etc. They used to go to watch the Pikeys without their wives but find it a better day out at the rugby these days. Seems they're not alone - the rugby clubs attendances have risen by 101% (biggest rise in the premiership) when compared to average attendance 10 years ago; 1. BRISTOL BEARS (101.4% increase) 2008/09: 8,782 2018/19: 17,683

  19. It's a lovely optimistic idea but I cannot for a moment see big clubs being so generous. We've seen time and time again that the big clubs see an opportunity to make cash and do so. When you've got Premier league clubs with millions to spend failing to meet basic standards of disabled access or failing to pay some of their staff a living wage, it is pretty inconceivable they are going to start doing favours for teams lower down the pecking order - especially once they know smaller clubs' options are limited. So what I see happening is a scenario where big clubs go on as before - filling t

  23. Stop knocking Shrewsbury. They got what they deserved today and totally deserved to invade the pitch at FT. Football in 2020 is very much a case of the haves and the have nots. They held Liverpool and were ******* brilliant today.

  27. Pretty shite atmosphere from the Shrewsbury fans tbh. Ashton Gate would have been a cauldron and from what I've seen so far I'd quite of fancied us to have a real go at this Liverpool team.

  32. Brilliant. So the rich and powerful can do what they want, and ordinary people will get dicked over. Maybe you earn over 100k in which case, you'll be fine. But if you don't, I really don't understand how you can view this as a positive thing

  33. To put things in perspective it was teenagers, kids on dads shoulders and even men and women in their 50's & 60's on the pitch who've probably never been so happy in their life's watching their small friendly club give Liverpool a game after seemingly been dead and buried. Now if that was Millwall on the pitch I take your point but on this occasion let them have their glory on national TV!

  36. Just watched highlights …. I found it refreshingly nostalgic to see an old fashioned traditional muddy English winter Football Pitch... So good to see it again instead of the perfect 'snooker table' pitches we've grown used to in recent years … Something nice about imperfection in football, inc the bullshitty VAR … nowt wrong with a bit of mud on a football field or a controversial human error wrong decision now and again..

  37. Am I the only one angry at the leadership in our club? It’s obvious that had we been there Klopp would have fielded a better team, but Shrewsbury for gods sake are utter rubbish - yet we could not beat them twice! Is Mr Motivator still available? Or is he too tall?

  43. Been there, done that, Liverpool at home, draw, Anfield, beat them, their Manager sacked. So for myself, no big deal, but I do feel for those who were too young to have experienced that night at Anfield, it was one of those you don’t forget too easily. Have never had anytime for Liverpool, but a a visit there and seeing the kop in full YNWA mode does send a shiver down the spine - an iconic football moment. ( Yes , I do appreciate that if we had got through it was a home tie, but that’s how ‘94 started).
