  1. I'm looking at relegation seasons now 1980/81 was spectacular. They didn't win in the league until November (15 MATCHES - I think we have a winner). Had a bit of a cup run which spoilt it a little. https://www.11v11.com/teams/bristol-rovers/tab/matches/season/1981/ After that Watford win they didn't win for another 14 matches Bloody hell one win in the first 30 league games of a season? What was the suicide rate in north Bristol in 1981 anyone know? Our season wasn't much better mind.... 1992/93 relegation - the odd win here and there, no long winless runs 2000/01 relegation - as above (lost 6 of the last 10 games) 2010/11 relegation - already mentioned winless for 10 in the middle of the season, no win in last 6 games) 2013/14 relegation - everyone's favourite season Only 2 wins in the last 12, the win at Wycombe giving them so much hope only for disaster against a team wearing their own kit, marvellous. Their league record for 2014/15 is my favourite thing on this website https://www.11v11.com/teams/bristol-rovers/tab/matches/season/2015/ (I can't wait to feature on SagChat as one of the obsessed - I really am. I love it)

  2. Well... he said the ‘crime’ resulted in a community resolution. This is an informal disposal which stops the matter having to go through court. It is saved solely for the least serious matters. Theres must be an admission from the ‘offender’ and there’s always some form of reparation. He says “not to contact for 16 weeks”. Which is more than unlikely. I can therefore confirm that Henbury Gas is one of the following: 1. Misinformed. 2. incorrect. 3. full of shit. I know where my money is.

  3. Thats really not funny... I shouldn't laugh but ffs.. ? ' INSANIITY' ! ?

  4. If you were told to have no contact with that Henbury tool for 16 weeks you'd feel like you'd won! Especially if you chinned him as well.

  5. 'inane' thread? ….. It's Gaschat surely a typo? all their threads by definition are ' INSANE' ! (btw re: 'lastminutewinners' post … 'my old teacher only had to throw a pen at me for him to get the boot') ffs.. I should think so, what kind of teacher throws Swans around the classroom anyway..? (oop's I've just added to the online 'insanity' now haven't I ? … ?)

  6. Dunno, can't seem to find it on BBC or Sky. Perhaps it's gone to a recount or they are simply just too embarrassed to publish the figure.

  7. Exactly! Never blame someone for autocorrect disasters. Not 'till you've W*nked a MILF in their shed.

  8. Probably got off lightly due to the fact the judge looked at Henbury and thought... 'if I had to live next to him, I'd be tempted to wallop him as well'.

  9. He has a lot of bad luck does old HG. Or full of shit obviously.

  10. I really don't get the impression that Henbury is a people person.

  11. What they don’t get is that Lansdown is building an infrastructure and revenue stream to sustain the football, Rugby and basketball by investing in property, hotels and facility that hols conferences, exhibitions, concerts Lansdown is focused on Self sustainability of the clubs and therefore the need to invest personally will not be as great Revenue into Bristol sport will not only create a substantial income but be fed back into these clubs

  12. Reading on asschat some of the comments on the “Ashton Gate revised design plans” thread, things like they would rather be in their position than ours, calling us plastic and can’t wait for Steve Lansdown to withdraw his support and leave us in trouble. Jealous or what

  13. The craziest part of all this was that they'd just won promotion. It makes you wonder if they literally bought promotion by over spending

  14. Thank you, I usually make a note of this on the 6th of each month (anniversary of his pronouncement in August) but I missed it this month. Their construction crew are going to work their socks off aren't they? Meanwhile, Wael of fortune could help by.........actually purchasing the site! It's a strange one isn't it? Announcing you are going to build a stadium on land you don't even own, and at that point hadn't even asked the owners about the plans. Working on the same [principle, I would like to announce I am intending to build a house on land within Ashton Court, with glorious views of Ashton Gate. It should be built within the year of course.

  15. Yes, I heard that too. A very positive 'Johnsonism'. Fair play to him for that one.

  16. LJ said in one of the post Derby pressers about wanting all of Bristol to get behind what we're doing...........well, three quarters of it ,anyhow.......................made me chuckle !

  19. 1965/66 season featured a 15 game losing run, that is the longest I can see but haven't checked for runs that cross seasons

  20. On the first point, I believe there isn’t a huge amount of difference in the price of our STs and theirs. Regarding the second post...Ignoring the fact that no one goes to the trouble SL has unless they’re in it for the long haul, it’s not as if his son and heir is a lifelong City fan is it...oh wait... Deluded, straw grasping idiots.

  21. I'd like to support and wish Bristol Rovers every success in their quest to make history today... DOUBLE 15ners ! … ? COY15ners.

  22. I like the fact the screenshot says 'not secure - Gaschat' at the top of it. They really are very insecure.

  23. That really is Olympic standard delusion. We have a chance to go second today, the arena plans were announced just days ago and the Bears are having their best season in living memory. Why on Earth would SL bail now?

  24. Yep, Steve's not spending all this money, building a legacy to just walk away in a few years 'cos he's bored with it. Besides, his son and heir is already involved anyway.

  25. The moral of the story? Send the feckers to China.

  26. They have been saying that about Steve for years, it's just a desperate hope, in the absence of any hope for their own club. The question they should ask is: In 5 years time who is more likely to still be in place, Steve or Wally? Indeed, which club is more likely to still exist?

  27. Blimey, Bury did the league double over them by the end of August. I know that's not what I'm meant to be focussing on here, but that must be fairly unusual?

  28. @Cider Jar Sterling effort that, thanks babber.

  29. Why would anyone in their right mind put more money into Steve Dale's bank account. He did. And it has worked, he doesnt give two hoots whether or not Bury survive.

  30. Salford as a non league club at the time were probably more solvent, as the non league rules are very strict. That would give them a better starting point, rather having to use a chunk of their investments to pay off any debt.

  32. That was 1999/2000 but they had one win in the middle of the last ten games (W1 D3 L6) https://www.11v11.com/teams/bristol-rovers/tab/matches/season/2000/

  35. I think they were due to break ground a week or two ago but their contractors got called away after the road collapsed in the Cumberland Basin. That should give him an excuse for another couple of years at least of doing **** all!

  36. Quaffing an agreeable Chilean Merlot and wondering how the countdown to The Fruit Market Stadium’s completion is going?! As Wael the messiah pronounced a while back, it will be ready in two years, so what’s that now? 18 months until the gas first play there? I’ve probably got that incorrect so please feel free to update the timeline - anyone seen a JCB on site yet? Because the billionaire Wael would never mislead the blue few would he?! ????
