  1. Listening to the post match interview of Rovers manager on Radio Bristol. Not once has he deflected the blame - admits hes trying his best, he set the plan for the game this week and he takes full responsibility for their defeat today. When interviewer brought up he wasnt on the pitch so cant take all the blame, he denied this and refused to shift responsibility. Johnson in the same situation would have thrown half the team under the bus and deflected all responsibility from himself. I find it hard to like LJ personally because I feel he really lacks professionalism. After a good few games hes all over tv, radio etc doing interviews after man united win, takes all credit for any positive performances. We all know what happens when things arent going so well

  2. He's also presiding over an absolutely dreadfully awful run of results and has taken his team from the fringes of the automatic promotion places to firmly in the bottom half. I'd much prefer to have a manager who talks the occasional bullshit but has a team two points off the playoffs in the Championship, than one who talks a good game but produces sod all results. But hey, any reason to have a go at Johnson I suppose.

  4. We sign a very good player, bang in form and managed to turn him into a bit part player that doesn’t see the football in a forward position, from the bench. Nuts!

  5. Johnson will always revert to workman like players. Weimann, Diedhoiu, Paterson, COD. Players like Wells, Palmer, Eliasson are wasted under this coach.

  6. But but but, Kasey Palmer has been sh*t. Why does him being left out prove that LJ has lost it? Palmer needs to realise that the world doesn’t owe him a living.

  9. “Kasey Palmer has been shit”- He’s played 33 minutes since the Sheffield Wednesday game in December. THIRTY THREE. Everyone has been terrible lately and Kasey still can’t get a decent look in. Somethings not right.

  10. Imagine starting playing pre-season in and outside of the Chelsea first team, moving to a team that supposedly really wants you and you get shoved almost completely out of the team by a manager out of his depth and clueless.

  11. Kasey Palmer is a quality attacking midfielder who should be playing at the head of a midfield free / in behind a forward who makes runs. We haven't given him the opportunity to succeed this season which is a real shame. I'd very much enjoy the sort of football that he could enable us to play - incisive counter attacks in behind the defence rather than aimless ******* punts at Fam.

  12. We really don’t need thread after thread started with the same message from you Youve said the same on Match day thread Even as somebody who has little faith in LJ , it’s tedious - there are numerous threads to post your thoughts or views

  14. All season I have been saying on here how I think he is better than Hunt. Hunt may have the odd brilliant game, most often when we dominate - which rarely happens! But with the amount we have to defend in games, surely the better defender with more pace is the better option. He's quicker, stronger, and actually on the ball is less sloppy than Hunt who can be very sloppy. Being decent in the air is a bonus too. I understand Hunt is a better crosser of the ball and can have great games like Huddersfield at home. It depends what Hunt shows up. But for me Pereira has more to his game, and can improve so much. I would look to sign him in the summer but not sure he'd want to come here, considering he has mainly played well but for some reason keeps getting dropped.

  19. I don’t think he’s as good as the fans collectively think. He’s got a great cross on him but he doesn’t do much else. Maybe I’m being harsh but he’s a bit of a passenger, especially in a physical game like today was expected to be

  23. I really like everything that Ben Garner says and what's he's trying to achieve. But mostly, I like the results he's getting. Seriously, trying to play good football, taking personal responsibility all good things. He's actually everything I want a manager to busy bee. Of course, he's utterly failing. But he sounds like the guy I want...

  25. I note you don't say what event you were at. So I am going to say you were at Take That, because you're their biggest fan, and any attempt to deny it, or claims that you were at either of the other events will just go to confirm that you LOVE Take That even more that my original accusation. So, long story short. You love Take That. No returns. You also love Cardiff too.

  30. He needs a real chance to play here. If it were up to me he’d have stayed here this season and COD would not have gotten a new deal. Seems like JS has embraced being the main man and I think that shows good maturity and drive.

  31. The bit you appear to have ignored is where he mentions having a team 2 points off the Play Offs. LJ is far from perfect and I’ve got doubts that he will ever take us up but he’s clearly a better manager than a guy who has taken a side from 4th in L1, 2 points off top 2 to lower mid table, 15 points off the Play Offs in a couple of months.

  32. While we are in touching point of play offs SL will not get rid of him Still think a good manager coming in a while ago would have had us fighting with WBA and Leeds The fans have been stung to much

  36. Sorry to tell you but no one in Spain often simply says "black" in Spanish to refer to someone. It's like John Terry saying "you black." He isn't going to do it. No one does. Black is meant to just add to the message. If what you say is true, best guess he said "Negrito" which means "little black" but basically "little N". Either way based on his back four I'm not betting on him giving out instruction in Spanish so whatever people heard, it would translate, even to Leko too. I will tell you with plenty of knowledge that Spain isn't historically somewhere that has eliminated racism even from casual chat, so it isn't like the accusation is outlandish. But I for one will reserve judgment if there is no proof as otherwise we condone what happened to Famara last season.

  37. Someone fills in a form and lists themselves as black. Someone else says “mark the black lad” and it’s apparently racist?

  38. If your mother tongue is English and you are referring to colour, you say 'black'. In Spanish...the word for Black is 'Negro'. How else does a Spanish person say the word 'Black'? Not being funny mate...but if he's used the word black in his mother tongue, you can't help saying the word 'negro'. He even brought professional lip readers to the hearing to prove that's what was said, and Nketiah as witness. Imo...he most likely isn't racist, or used the term in a racist manner. He described the colour of the man to mark in his native tongue. Which heard by an English speaker would be seen in this day and age as Racist. Either way...he contavened an FA Rule.

  40. It is somewhat more dangerous than flu no doubt but the media are something else. They need stories to survive themselves and a worldwide pandemic is high on the list of scary and shock stories for people to read and grip them. If you've watched any of Charlie Brookers old material you'll know fear is one of their greatest tools.

  41. Good grief - the world’s gone mad - describing someone as ‘black’ is not racist, and why would I get ‘peeved’ if I was described as ‘white’? And how do you know I am white? That’s a bit of a ‘stereotyping’ assumption ...

  42. Workplaces are not courts of law. In pretty much any workplace disciplinary procedure, the burden of proof would be “balance of probability” rather than “beyond all reasonable doubt” so he is being no more unfairly treated than anyone else who has a disciplinary process at work. It does not necessarily mean there was no evidence. Even if there is compelling evidence he did it, “balance of probability” would still be the test applied. I think it hard to have an opinion beyond that until we see the written reasoning for the decision later in the week. Until then it is just speculation.

Memory playing tricks on you nibor. famara vehemently denied it, neither the referee or linesman saw it, there was no video evidence....he got done purely based on the somewhat biased testimony of two Birmingham players http://www.thefa.com/-/media/files/thefaportal/governance-docs/discipline-cases/2018/the-fa-v-famara-diedhiou---17-may-2018.ashx

  48. The team that started our first game of the 15/16 Championship season featured 4 young signings by Cotterill (Freeman, Ayling, Korey Smith and Fredericks). It also included 4 young players Cotterill helped develop (Bryan, Williams, Flint, and Pack). The other three players were Fielding, 25 year old Jonathan Kodjia (who we made a great profit on) and Wilbraham. With academy players Burns, Reid and O’Leary on the bench. Shame the rug was pulled from underneath Cotterill’s feet and he didn’t get to add Gray and Maguire to that team. Then the following season we spent around £10 million on Tomlin, Engvall, Djuric, Hegelar and Magnússon. Great policy that one.

  49. You can name all the names you like. The only candidate outside of the football club as far as I'm aware, that SL is known to like, and may possibly work within the confines of the current 'project' is Mark Robins. The same Mark Robins who has produced entertaining football at a club which is seriously ****ed. The same Mark Robins that has produced results at that football club, despite taking over in possibly it's darkest hour. And for those that will raise being 'unproven at this level', we are currently suffering the fourth/fifth year of somebody that was exactly that when appointed, and had no record of entertaining football either. So it's Robins for me, from a list of viable candidates that includes himself, Jamie MacAllister and Dean Holden (as far as I can ascertain).
