  2. The bizarre things you see on your travels...… driving home tonight through Old Down (the Thornbury one) I saw an actual adult man wearing 'da famus quarterz' sporting the No2 on the back with the name LITTLE emblazoned across the back! They walk among us!

  3. Hey folks. Only just recently discovered this thread. I’ve just sent a request to the otib strava group. I don’t use strava - I’m a Map My Run guy, but I’ve just loaded it up and will give it a go tomorrow. To catch up on my running history. Always used to play football so didn’t really focus on actual running. After a back injury at 37 stopped me playing I started running more. Haven’t done too many ‘official’ races. My first proper one was the Bristol Half in 2013 where I clocked 1:50. Then did the Bristol 10k in 2015 at 46:54. My next proper one was Forest of Dean half in 2017, clicking bang on 1:55. Every time I’ve done a race, I’ve trained well for it and then lost motivation after and ended up back at square 1! Having kids severely hampered my running too - having to do the school run has prevented me from running in the morning so for the last couple of years I’ve mainly been restricted to Saturday & Sunday mornings. Lockdown (and no school) has allowed me to up my game. Did 100k in March, and then 135k in April. I’m already on 87k for May. My Map My Run screenie below of month to date (plus a 5 Thursday and a 10 sat morning). @CyderInACan god knows how you did over 200k last month. You’ve spurred me on son! So, signed up to the club, will try Strava tomorrow morning. Planning on a 10k, so hopefully it works well. Good to be in the club - good extra motivation.

  6. One less team relegated from league one than normal, so leaves 1 spot for national league to be promoted?

  7. Yes, perhaps three games next year where the crowd will be up to 8,000. Don't understand why they lock 20,000 out when there is usually only 6,500 INSIDE. Seems daft

  22. Hi Marcus, I'll try to address your points: Testing frontline staff is the responsibility of the government. Testing footballers would be the duty of care of the EFL. If the govt is not fulfilling its duty we should look at them, not the EFL for managing to do their job. Regards not trusting fans, I agree there could he isolated incidents but I don't think we can approach this with a distrust of our community. It will be important to share the right message and take some practical measures (plus threat of terrorism offences!) And you mentioned that it would be odd if people can't see family members whilst footballers can play football... Well by mid June, the lockdown will likely have relaxed, and meeting both parents would probably be tolerated. By then, we will likely be moving to a social distancing approach again with shops, cafes and restaurants opening. Only the vulnerable should be in lockdown by the time football is played. Footballers are very low risk, and will receive VIP testing and treatment.

  23. How many of them actually go and see that rubbish (& I don't count slipping Bob the gateman a fiver to get in) Not many I suspect judging by the sell out crowds at Turnip Patch Tent City. It's like the window lickers who phone in to Radio Bristol after the match and give an opinion on a game they've not seen but listened to on the radio. "It was definitely a penalty Geoff from what I heard on the radio, stone wall" Comedy gold.

  24. Clap piping, tent erecting, boob juggling, erotica watching, fact "bending," myth peddling, plain lying, Memorial trashing, horse assaulting, minibus abusing, rival envying, ground hopping/thieving hoof ball League One parasites, then. To sum up.

  25. Jofra Archer has suggested that crowd noise should be played through the PA at Cricket matches where there are no spectators to make the situation “as normal as possible” for the players. That’s nothing, Rovers have been covering up their shit atmosphere by pumping crowd noise through the PA for years...
