  1. However the leagues get decided it will never please everyone, Take Charlton and Hull for example both from what I’ve read want the season to be voided, why? Only because it suits them and they don’t get relegated by either playing out the remaining games or by PPG, same goes for ourselves on wanting to play out the season. Im of the opinion where no matter how long it takes for it to be safe enough is to play the last 9 games, the season is too far gone to just wipe it out as if it never happened, and simply don’t agree with the PPG scenario and if players like Deeney, Kante, Rose etc don’t feel safe enough to play then it’s pretty simple don’t play then let others who want to play get on with it.

  2. Neither do I mate or my 2 young kids, but I’m not eligible to be furloughed so I have to work, if I didn’t we’d have hardly any income to pay bills, feed mouths etc. Yes football to us fans is a sport our source of entertainment (home games not included!) but for football players it’s their job, and just the same as every other worker in this country they will be expected to return to their jobs when it is safe to do so. As harsh as it is Rodman from the Blue Few stating the other day how 1,400 players who are out of contract will be out of a job, well my response to that is, ‘welcome to the real world’ there will be hundreds of thousand others who will also lose there job because of this pandemic, unfortunately it’s life.

  3. Did some very crude maths the other day and reckon most of our FFP wiggle room would be used up in 3-4 months of no income and having to give refunds. All clubs had to submit their projected accounts in March (for accounts to end of normal season). Those would give the best positioning of finances without the effects of covid....and are used already (even if not forcibly enough) to charge clubs. I see no reason why these couldn’t be used to check compliance as a starting point. They are going to better looking than the actual accounts.

  4. I’ve just shaved a few seconds off my best mile - in the club im in we’re doing 3 mile runs and the last mile is as fast as you can - did 6.34 tonight down from 6.39, not as fast as the speedsters but going in right direction!!

  5. I should read your post in more detail. ?? Yes, you’d think there’d be an option to take off of next seasons, amongst other options.

  6. You aren't suggesting that someone should buy the domain name and change the purpose of that particular address so the content is less offensive are you?

  7. Very good point and I suspect the residential market will be worst hit. Probably negative pre Covid-19 but made worse now. Unlucky da Gazzzzz ! Like fine wine, they get better with age...

  8. 2 months without income. I had no idea that they would be able to survive that long. Maybe Wally will invest another camel or two to tide them over. Meanwhile, values for property and land post COVID-19 could easily be 20% lower putting him well into the realms of negative equity.

  9. And have to play 5 of the top 10, admittedly 3 are towards the bottom of the table but going into end of season I'd rather have 5 mid table teams than 5 teams around you fighting for survival, then add QPR and I wouldn't call it favourable.

  10. For me the season has ended because, unless a vaccine makes a miraculous appearance, I do not want to put my life and my wife's life at greater risk than the present situation. And while I've already bought for next season, I don't expect to go. My only visits to places like supermarkets are a bi-weekly shopping trip. We get as much delivered as possible and stay well away from others when dog walking. I'll miss my friends at City and Bears but it's not worth the risk.

  13. No doubt North Street will look different when we reach the other side of this. The Football League too, you would think. OTIB!

  14. Assume they're given a notice period where nobody else can purchase it. Proboards are in partnership with GoDaddy so I'm guessing the sagchat admins use them.

  15. You aren't thinking that maybe Rovers won't be getting new owners anytime soon, and that Wally and the family are stuck are you....

  16. It’s surely only a matter of time until some clubs cease to exist. I don’t think it’ll be confined to the lower leagues either.

  17. Thought it explained very well the situation facing clubs and what they need to do to survive. Also the problem facing players, L1 and L2 go to 20 man squads players will be unemployable in the lower leagues.

  23. It’s not trust per se, it’s what they are being used to falsely promote....namely Hancock’s self back-slapping. Against the targets he has set, he has actually failed every day. It is only by changing the method of calculation 2 days before the target date that he achieved his arbitrary target. He then lied and said the method of calculation had always been that and smugly told the journo to look on gov.uk. Well, guess what? I read the various testing strategy and data docs (and the previous versions), and it makes no mention of including postal tests. He lied....and praised himself in the process. on the 1st May when he falsely claimed he’d hit his 100k, had he come clean and said it was 80k, I’d have accepted it as a good effort to ramp up....it wasn’t an easy task. But he lost (more) credibility from his actions. Eff me....spoke too soon about trusting the numbers ??? ???

  24. Bear in mind that 600 is actually 1800 in attendance after the tickets have been passed through the fence a time or two.

  25. You need to listen to Denney talk , an ill son who clearly is at risk if he brings the virus home. Tammy talking about his father - these are legitimate concerns. Whilst the training grounds will be clean and probably safer than anywhere else right now - you still have players who are not obeying the rules. What happens if a players is tested positive a week after a game ? Are all his teammates and the opposition expected to self isolate for 14 days - how do you then play the following week? You want a reason - 545 died yesterday because of this virus, testing in this country is a joke and let the football ‘world’ can take up testing kits and get results within 48 hours several times a week. Whilst I appreciate the clubs have paid for these and are not taking away from front line workers , if you have 50,000 tests available and testing resource give to the government - lets get our NHS staff , care workers , shop workers , binmen, school teachers then if you have more available the general public - test, trace and contain we’ll beat the virus - the more we test the quicker businesses can reopen , get the economy moving - a deep, deep recession awaits us- which we’ll be paying for years. But hey 22 blokes kicking a football is more important than all that

  26. I remember a team, can't think of their name, in the basement of the entire football league, getting relegated to non-league on the last day of the season despite having not been in the relegation places all season.

  27. EXCELLENT ADVICE Heard a Doctor on TV say to have inner peace and stop worrying about covid-19 we should always finish things we start and we all could use more calm in our lives. I looked through my house to find things I’d started and hadn't finished, so I finished off a bottle of Merlot, a bottle of Chardonnay, a bodle of Baileys, a butle of wum, tha mainder of Valiumun srciptuns, an a box a chocletz. Yu haf no idr how fablus I feel rite now. Sned this to all who need inner piss. An telum u luvum.
