  1. R*overs have far less history than MK Dons - they`ve only been a league club since 2015 after all. MK Dons are steeped in tradition by comparison.

  2. I'm a bit bored in a zoom meeting which is going on for ever with some smarmy yank waffling away ('Hey Buck,' arsehole) so I've been doing a little comparison between delusion central and one of the teams the druggy said they are bigger than. I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions as it's obviously too tight to call. Fulham v scum comparison Capacity: Craven cottage 29,600 The dump 12,300 Average crowd: Fulham 17,752 (reduced capacity) ****ts 7397 Squad value: Fulham £83.88M https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-fulham/transfers/verein/931 Scum £3.87M https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bristol-rovers/transfers/verein/2455 Games in major European competitions Fulham 47, including 2 finals, one as recent as 2010. 3. I've just read the original name for the old hospital on the colony site they've bought. Seems rather coincidental.

  5. There is some absolutely cracking rides around here, i did 80m last sat, took me from yate over to nailsworth, Stroud, tetbury, Wooten basset, grittleton and back in via sodbury. Pretty much all through country lanes too so was very relaxed Out for an 8m run tomorrow and maybe a ride on Sunday but won’t be too far. I did a 5k run on wednesay in 28 mins but ran up Horton hill 3 times so it was pretty tough.

  7. Oh no, Mr Al-Quidi has employed the well respected company MJ Abbott Ltd and so long as stage payments continue to be met the training ground will look something like the one the firm did for Stevenage FC . Opened in 2013, when “the Boro” finished 18th in League 1, this state of the art development has helped propel them to the National League.

  8. Isn't it always the way that you take the high mileage months for granted, then realise how lucky you were when a niggle (or worse) comes along! I've had about 5 weeks of 'rest' following a sprained ankle and random subsequent medical knee pain and it's so bloody frustrating! I did 4 miles today, hopefully back to it now depending on how the knee responds. You'll come back, but it takes patience. Do strengthening whilst you can't run so you can come back stronger.

  9. Pretty much my take on Suddenly as well, Jeff. New (to me) this lockdown has been the Angel Olsen album All Mirrors, which really builds on her earlier work and is superb. I also like Agnes Obel @Major Isewater I have eclectic tastes and I've been folking out to a collection of Kate & Anna McGarrigle albums a friend sent me and also psych rocking out to Syd Arthur, who never disappoint.

  10. Mate unfortunately we’re getting a bit older - i did my calf 2 years ago 200m in to the watermore 10k, was out of action for 10 weeks unfortunately. Muscle injuries are a ballache as it just takes time. My monthly bills now consist of a sports massage once a month, hurts like hell but touch wood I’ve been injury free, not had once since March and i can feel i need one pleased with this mornings run, 8 miles, nice easy pace done in 1hr 8 Horrible mate. Glad I’m not riding today

  11. That's like saying do you prefer piles or the clap. Its definitely Swindon. They have actually achieved some success in their history and have won the League Cup. They have also played in the Premier League and at the time if they could have kept hold of Glenn Hoddle as a manager they would have achieved more success. Obviously the sags' Watney Cup success runs that very close though.

  15. Happy with that - the away games are the clincher for me. I shan`t be asking for a refund now - I`m effectively getting nine games (three of which I wouldn`t have seen anyway) for £75 and no travelling 120 miles to Bristol.

  16. Really hard to disagree with any of that anyalsis. 6000 or so thousand of the great unwashed per home game and a "stadium" which is the envy of.....absolutely no one. I am struggling to think of any team in any division that would gladly swap either fan base or stadium with Moron FC. So that really sets them apart from everyone. They are on a par with no one. The list of teams they mentioned are something they would aspire to. If you were pushed you would say likes of Accrington Stanley, Southend United, Gillingham and Fleetwood could be used as a fair comparison to their current state. They could have no complaints with that. Anyway ground for ground they lose every single time. Accrington Stanley - On par - Room to develop if necessary. AFC Wimbledon - No Blackpool - No Bolton - No Moron FC Coventry City No Doncaster United - No Fleetwood Town - On Par r Gillingham - No Ipswich Town - No MK Dons - No Lincoln City - On Par.... but Lincoln would take it everyday if you had a choice Oxford United - No Peterborough - No Portsmouth - No Rochdale - On par, but once again you would take that over Memorial Rotherham - No Shrewsbury Town - No Southend - On par, but you would take this over Memorial Sunderland - No Tranmere - No Wycombe Wanderers - No

  19. Ah yes, but let’s not forget that the Gas with their ‘massive’ fanbase...which is lower than Lincoln, Rotherham, Blackpool and MK Dons (FFS ?) are, apparently, bigger than many clubs in the Championship ?? I wonder who he means by ‘the enemies’? Deluded idiots...

  20. Chelsea WSL champions, Liverpool relegated and Villa promoted Female pundit on SSN saying 'perhaps the mens team will now invest in the ladies team to get them back to where they should be'.... why should the mens team be funding the ladies team? Surely thats a situation we want to avoid? Inflating ladies football finances where there's not the sustainability in their own finances

  22. You reckon ? Let's just remember, this is the 15ers we are talking about. With their track record, they are more likely to come up with something like this, including trees just outside of the penalty area.

  24. I’ve listened to the Caribou album and liked it but wasn’t blown away. Had a ticket to the watch him/then at the Academy but it got canned understandably. Swim is one of my favourite albums, and the last one was great also. Have heard the odd track from the other two on radio 6 but haven’t delved deeper. Will get them both downloaded. i haven’t listened to many new albums recently as I was swatting up on the Glastonbury lineup instead, plus Belle & Sebastian back catalogue as was going to see them too. Cancellations all round unfortunately
