  1. If you’d had to play for 14 minutes in our defence, you’d know exactly how he felt.

  2. When he came the score was 0-0 When he left it was 20-12 no one suspected a thing....

  3. Well you have rather carelessly left yours unattended during lockdown. You know what we're like

  4. He was useless but it has to be tempered a bit by the later revelations about his mental health at the time. I often wonder if the club knew he had problems when we signed him.

  5. He was right too LR, Hunt was an absolute disgrace and clearly didn't give a shit! Thankfully, we don't see anything similar with the current crop and I hope we never do.

  6. I think we can be pretty certain the right honorable PSR wasn't at Elland road that day.

  8. Very economical with your memory there. The area known as Ashton Vale, where the stadium was planned, was scheduled to be removed from the green belt and, agreed by the four unitary authorities prior to an application going in. It was also deemed to be a very important development for the region and as such, met the criteria allowing development within an existing Greenbelt area. Agreement for the allotments, was for the "sale" of the allotments to BCFC, as was also agreed for the East End car park, not a transfer. The QC appointed to hold the village green application review, was appointed by Bristol City Council. It just so happens that, she had "NEVER" found against an application for a village green. Makes one wonder why she was appointed and, who recommended her. We also had a scenario where the chair of planning was replaced on the morning of the meeting and replaced by a person on the committee actively opposing the development, Simon Rayner. He spoke beautifully with his mates from the green party, whom he gave extra time to present their case against the development and managed to get a refusal, which went to an appeal. On the other side of the city, at a very important planning meeting to determine whether there could be a redevelopment of the rugby ground. Six members of the committee were removed on the morning of the meeting and, replaced with six councillors who actively supported the scheme. The application was passed, I wonder who made that decision to change the committee members.

  11. Whyte won't trouble Wilder Fury or AJ. He's a level below.

  12. Yeah Fury might be in peak condition nowadays, but he can't fight Wilder, Whyte and Joshua twice in a 12 month period. Something's got to give... Sounds like the WBC might undermine Whyte's cause anyway. They can use Covid to reset title deadlines.

  13. Great work! Half for my yesterday came in at 2:02, second time running with a camelbak so would probably be sub 2 without it I think Got a really niggly ankle injury. Feels like I've been kicked and lasts a couple of days after a run. Slight bruising and swelling From searching symptoms I feel like it could be Posterior Tibial Tendonitis, from overuse which would make sense due to the sudden increase in miles. Im reluctant to stop running but may have to soon, I've still got 13 & 14 weeks til my races so could rest for a few weeks and still have time to make it up. For now I've reduced my miles to just one long run at a weekend and some cycling and strength work in the week but my ankles really sore today after yesterdays 13 miles

  14. Whyte has started legal action against the WBC in order to get his title shot. We all want to see the Fury/AJ fight but fair play to Whyte, whose been ignored and overlooked for far to long.

  17. Rovers won’t be paying for this . A few years later they will be another Coventry. Rovers have always relied on other people to helped them out . All of a sudden they got money for a new build. Me don’t think so . **** um

  18. They wont be paying for it. Id expect 90% of the cost to be paid by sources outside the club. They sell The Mem, Wally gets his money back and he chucks the rest via one of his overseas operations at the new stadium leaving him with a small percentage. Rovers pay and own nothing come the end. All the other non matchday income would go to the stadium owners. At least that's how i see it ?

  20. Yeah I genuinely think he'll fight anyone. At his age, making a retirement fund becomes top priority. If he can make a few million by fighting Wilder and Dubois, say, he might be angry about the lack of world title opportunities, but at least he'll be a very wealthy man. He'll probably then get his chance in the twilight of his career when he doesn't quite have the same potency.

  22. You say "good transport links"? Not so sure about that. It might be near a train station but it's more likely most of what counts for their support will want to drive and the roads in St Phillips ain't great. In fact, it'll be gridlock central I'd have thought, especially when you factor in all the thousands upon thousands who'll be locked out every week. Agree with your comments re the mayor though. When not in Malaysia, he's spent all his time doing **** all for Bristol as a whole but plenty for the minority interests close to his heart - the gAssholes counting for both on that score. It would be interesting to hear Rees explain why he considers that part of the city completely unsuitable for a 12,000 capacity concert venue but perfectly fine for a 20,000 (guess) football stadium.
