  1. A couple of cul-de-sacs in Warmley last I heard.

  2. If there is on thing bound to reduce losses, it's a training ground. We all know how lucrative 3 porta-cabins and a field is. Can't believe just how much they have closed the gap over the weekend.

  4. Really, really impressed with the new earphones. After almost a year running without music after my last earphones packed in, it's been an absolute joy to be running with music again, I'd forgotten just how much it picks me up when I'm starting to flag. Looked at loads of pricier models but none of them ticked everything I wanted (i.e. properly waterproof and comfortable to run in) at a price I was happy to pay just for workout earphones, as I already have a nice pair of wireless over ear headphones for general use. First impressions are really good, first time of having an 'AirPods' style earphone, was worried they'd move around and not be comfortable to run in but they're great, and for £46 if they only last a year I won't lose any sleep as opposed to some which are £150-£200. 5. I believe Ashton Gate stadium is owned by Bristol City Holdings Ltd which, along with the various other companies in the group, is ultimately owned by Steve and Maggie via Pula Sport Limited. No problemo. I think most clubs have restructured in this sort of way in modern times. Which is very different from, say, a Coventry City situation where they sold their stadium and then rented a new one from a third party, which was absolutely ruinous for them.

  7. Strong advice, thanks for that. So much depends on the day I’ve had as well which is why I’m trying to keep to the morning runs so I have no excuses. Hope the ankle improves soon. Done a 1.5 mile run tonight with the Mrs doing her couch to 5k and my ass cheek felt good so hopefully back to running tomorrow morning.

  8. This is eerily like the Oxford situation when Uncle Firoz got hold of the club. Sold the Manor Ground for redevelopment, built a cheap as chips 3-sided monstrosity and then charged the club £750,000 per annum to rent it.

  9. Well, after all the laughs they've given us stretching all the way back to the Wonga loan and the watertight contract with Sainsbury's I am happy to acknowledge that these financing changes are without question tremendous news for the Rovers. No qualifying statement it is simply very good news indeed. Now with that conceded please go back to making us laugh.

  10. No they shouldn’t (and I’m from the blue side), however if their role is to help organise various parties to sort out land deals etc, without investing as such, then that would be acceptable. Projects such as Cabot Circus, had council input with the assembly of the site, without direct financial support.

  11. Spunked his inheritance in one go! Seriously though, without the shackles of big brother counting every penny - and, assuming he has a few more quid - could see Rovers finally getting some investment. If not, think first year student who has done his grant, student loans and is on the bones of his arse by Christmas year one.

  13. The trick is learning to control those feelings and emotions, if your run is determined by your feeling then work on that. Put some music on, or watch a quick couple of videos on youtube while you're getting ready? Reframing those thoughts is 90% of the battle. I listen and read a lot of people that talk about mindset, David Goggins, Ben Bergeron, Ross Edgley and Jordan Peterson (to an extent) to name a few of the mainstream ones. It's helped me target my feelings and know when to switch off that voice in my head, or at least understand why it's making me feel the way it does. Particularly good for pushing through barriers on longer or more challenging runs/workouts. On a personal note for me, havent ran since Sunday, ankle felt good for 2 days. 5k run this morning and it's sore again. Definitely got something going on. New trainers are on their way so hoping that will help, think I'll stick to the bike until they arrive
